tooquicktostop
I watched it, I thought it was rubbish, lots of sponsorship stuff to be followed exactly due to contracts (when Schuy changed cars they had to tape up all the other drivers sponsors!) and a very very small crowd, and how on earth can they do that to the football pitch I also thought the cars were boring, can imagine the drivers got paid a fortune though
AndyT
Saw the one about taking over a taxi. Would've loved to have been a passenger.
grahamc
I actually thought it was awesome!! Was there, bloody cold though... It was sold out, but they had to limit ticket numbers as they rail system can not handle a sold out event. Only thing that should be done with a fooball pitch, tar it over!!! michael
.... and how on earth can they do that to the football pitch Isn't the original pitch supposed to be preserved under aluminium sheets? They put the tarmac and turf on top of that so it could be pulled up afterwards and the pitch brought back to life. I guess the lack of light can't help the grass much though. Bobbeh
I was there too, very good day out I thought, lots of racing to watch. Only downers was the cold weather and poor turn out, which made it annoying as the presenters were trying too hard to get a real atmosphere going. Great mix of cars and stars. I have a feeling they'll be totally replacing that pitch ready for next years sporting events.

Bobbeh
Exactly, thats probably why they didnt care about putting concrete slabs and tarmac all over it
michael
Exactly, thats probably why they didnt care about putting concrete slabs and tarmac all over it It's an aluminium platform that sits above the existing turf.
