AndyT
Jazz could you clarify the symptoms? It's not totally clear what issue you're seeing. When you're accelerating hard in say 4th gear, is the 2nd turbo boosting? I.e. there is a noticable increase in acceleration/boost pressure? Does the rpm increase inline with acceleration? If the rpm increases but the speedo doesn't increase a proportional amount this indictaes clutch slip (which your first post seemed to indicate) If the speedo and rpm are increasing at proportional rates then can you confirm what boost levels you're seeing at around 3400rpm under 100% throttle in a high gear and again the boost level at 4800rpm. This should indicate whether the 2nd turbo is coming online. If there is no real difference the very likely (and common) cause is the Have any 'bling' hoses been added to the engine bay? Any vac pipes changed, etc since the car was last run? My bad. "Terminology wrong" see that link. Thanks Homer.
jazz1
well yesturday i took the mechanic for a spin in the car and showed him what was going on, basically the car shift fine in 1st and 2nd gear. When i reach 3rd or 4th and put my foot down to give it some from a steady speed to instant acceleration the rev counter goes up but the car dont pull like it should. He then told me to shift from all the grears without slowing down, so from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th the car pulled fine when i shifted her in a straight line without slowing down, he told me right away your clutch is sometimes slipping , il still come to show you homer it would most probably be on the 10th
Thorin
Second turbo should come online ~4000rpm, so if it's happening at 3000rpm then something isn't right. But from your description it does sound like clutch slipping.
