Need4Speed
Can any of you experienced Supra people recommend a wheel specialist who can clean up split-rim wheels - mine are looking a bit scruffy and losing a bit of air.

Hi... I am happy with Spit and Polish although the "authorised agent" I used were a bunch of w*nkers so I recommend you take them there yourself and have the job done a bit cheaper. Gavin, What kind of price range are we talking here for this type of service ? I have 4 stock UK rims that are in need of this. Thanks. GavinL
Originally posted by Mark Ayling I got charged £160 for all four of mine, excluding VAT... That was cheap, Spit and Polish are quoting about £56.00 each inc vat for stock 17" wheel. Pristine wheels are another company that a few people have used, they are just north of London and do a good job.

Need4Speed
Unfortunately for me Spit & Polish don't do split-rims.
Andrew Dunk Shaw
Im based in south b'ham and Bournes powder coaters did mine for £80 all in for 4 stock 17" rims, exellent finish and would appear to be very cheap as well. If its any use to anyone there number is 0121 666 6595. Think the split rims are a totally differant proposition though espiecally if there leaking, youll need to have them split and re sealed, how bad is the scuffing you mention ? I got a bodyshop orbital sander and just carefully went round the outer edge of the rims until all the scuffing had gone, i started with a course 180 grit pad and finished off with a fine 800 grit pad, now there done you wouldnt know they had ever been scuffed. Need4Speed
Splitting & resealing is the easy bit. The lacquer's not in perfect condition though and the wheels have been scraped on kerbs by a previous owner. A problem with 35 & 40 series tyres. Never had this problem with my Cherokee...
