Tricky-Ricky
Do you know which kit it is? i suspect it will be boost triggered, if your running in TTC i would definitely wire it up and get it working and set it to trigger at a low boost as TTC wen both turbos spool up you can suffer a bit of det, also 1.3 is pushing std turbos a bit. adam bell
is it best to run the boost at 1.2 bar on uk turbos
Tricky-Ricky
Ahh right missed that UKs should handle that OK i have UK hybrids but i only run them at 1.2.
dangerous brain
is it best to run the boost at 1.2 bar on uk turbos You aren't going to squeeze much extra power from stock turbo's above 1.2 bar. You can run them higher but whats the point if its not giving you more power? In answer though if its already fitted then unless there is an unserviceable component in the system get it wired back in as it can only benefit the system. dangerous brain
What make is it? If its an aquamist the pump may well be shagged (common fault with that pump)
uk-rich
(common fault with that pump) not heard that before
Tricky-Ricky
What make is it? If its an aquamist the pump may well be shagged (common fault with that pump) Me neither, had mine on two different cars for the last four years.
dangerous brain
not heard that before I had mine for 6 months and it was shagged. I sent it back and the guy on the phone said they had quite a few returns. Also alot of people (tuners mainly) told me it was normal for the aquamist pumps to go up the swanny. jevansio
Mine went too, but Aquamist replaced it FOC, the type of pump they use will damage very easily if the water supply runs dry I believe (which I think I did )
dangerous brain
Yeah they replaced or repaired mine FOC as well. I didn't know that til I called them though lol. Nice chaps actually.
adam bell
quick update the water injection is wired in allready you have to turn it on using the lights,i.e when you put the side lights on or main lights the system is being powered this to me sounds a bit wierd
Tricky-Ricky
Sorry! but what monkey wired that in like that:rolleyes:
Wez
Shocking, it should run off a pressure switch and with the relay in place be active all the time unless a seperate switch is wired in to enable and disable. Muppets
adam bell
what should i do then get it rewired or am i best to leave it alone and use it as it is. i am not to good with electrics you see. maybe some nice member might want to fit a switch for me;)
dangerous brain
I'll hazard a guess here. They have been lazy twats and wired the pump straight from the nearest 12 volt supply. Now if your pump is in the space on the nearside front wing area or around the light unit then what they have done is just take the 12 volt supply from your sidelight wire. What you need to do in this case is to get a relay that is operated from an ignition switched 12 volt to switch the 12 volt supply on and use a direct feed from the battery to power the pump. bromy
Has the car been to TF in its life Dont be silly, it would be wired up to the horn (a clowns horn at that) and there would be no injector... only a squirty flower:p
