Guest mk47
just looking at wii-consoles.co.uk and they seem to have upped to like £300 now?
Matt H
I suppose thats just one company upping them because they are likey rocking horse at the moment. Im sure Nintendo of Europe would no allow any reputable company to inflate the sales of the wii to that extent. they would never go up to £300 from Nintendos doings
Thorin
No the official price is still the same, it's just people extorting more money out of you because they're in such short supply over here.

Pete
They are a load of robbing bastards that are taking the piss. We had three on order from official distribution four weeks ago - agreed price £175 (so already paying over the odds). Today they say they can't get those ones, but they've got some other stock - unlucky they're now costing £250. Yeah right. What kind of idiots do they take us for. Needless to say we've told them they can stuff any future business up their arse unless they sort it out. I want my Wii!! (and I'm not going to be fleeced for it)
colsoop
Season of good will my arse. Shortage of goods + demand for goods = price hike time
Charlotte
Why have they 'run out'? They've had a year to make as many as possible, it's ridiculous.
Thorin
Why have they 'run out'? Because every man and his dog has bought them all to sell on ebay, no shortages there. Does this imply women and cats have more Christmas spirit?

Charlotte
Friendly foxes are excluded then? They're just after what they can get. Mince pies etc.

Pete
So you were buying 3 for personal use?! No, I wanted one, Sales Manager wanted one and I'm not sure who wanted the other. Could you imagine trying to play two wiis at the same time?
neil tt
Its bad enough playing one:)
Dr_Doom
Most shops are still selling them for £180 but you have to buy them as part of a package deal so you end up paying £400 for a wii with 4 or 5 crap games!.. It's so that shops can get rid of all their non-selling games at full price!!.. I logged onto dixons online when they had some in stock and their cheapest package was £360 and the games were crap!!!.... The other day i went down to blockbuster to buy guitar hero 3 for the 360 and by chance they'd just had 3 wii's delivered so i bought one! michael
£350 with any 5 games in the Peterborough branch of "zavvi" yesterday, if you pick the games wisely that makes the console ~£150 but it's a bit rude forcing people to buy bundles IMO. Plenty of PS3s and PSPs in stock everywhere still
