  8. That's right its back, we would like to invite everyone on the 2019 Tearoom Tour! All details can be found in the image. Any questions please fire them over. Terms and Conditions Start Position:: The tour starts in the south-east corner of Wales for those who need to think about journeys. There will be key stopping points and the hotels for those who wish to join along the way. We can only accept full bookings. Without a booking, you will not receive any of the tour benefits and are along for the drive and banter. GPS:: We understand that modern TomTom SatNavs will work for this journey. We certainly know that the TomTom Android app can also be used effectively. iPhones are completely incapable of being useful in this situation. Due to the effort of creating routes, we will not be generating files for specific models. Hotels:: Rooms will be double beds. Twin rooms are unavailable so if you are bringing a friend, make sure you know them well. We cannot be held responsible for loss of dignity and awkwardness at breakfast. Payments:: A full payment signifies a secured place on the tour. This does not guarantee a room and if the organized hotels are booked, it will be a first come first served basis. Full refunds will be made for unavailable bookings. Please note that we have a limited number of places available on the tour as well. Cancellations:: Refunds are not guaranteed although we can certainly try to help. The hotels have been kind enough to give us a good deal, so it may not be feasible.

  10. Hi guys, Hoping for a little guidance here. I just got married last month and whilst I was on honeymoon the MOT ran out on my supra. I know the laws have gotten stricter, but it seems no garage is willing to test the car as it has no cats (BPU setup). The last garage I went to was happy to do the no cat emissions test, but was adamant if the car came with a cat from factory and it has been removed its a straight fail. My questions are: 1) does a 1993 J spec supra require the cat in order to go through MOT. If not are there any sections that I can show the testers? 2) does anyone know of people in the London area (near Walthamstow) who regularly MOT supras/modified imports. As I've run out of the Mot, I'll need to book it in before driving it on the road. I'm hoping people have still managed to get through, otherwise I'm not sure what else to do. (is the only option to put a cat back in?) - once I can source one. Thanks Auzzam
  11. Did anyone watch on Sunday, ended up fast forwarding on the iPlayer it was that poor.
  12. afternoon all, So next year is the 18th birthday for the club so I wanted to do a big event to celebrate, and what better way to celebrate than to go to the biggest Supra event in America, Supras in Vegas. So this year's event is in a few weeks time and the event site is here https://www.suprasinvegas.org/, but I want us to be there next year! So this will be Dragonball 2019, and there wont be a Dragonball in May 2019 so that everybody can save up for DB Does Vegas! I am out in Vegas in a few weeks time and I will be approaching a few hotels to see what special rates we can get, so I want to get an idea of numbers. The plan is that we would fly out on a Monday night or a Tuesday morning, we have 4 or 5 nights hotel and fly back Saturday or Sunday. So it would be up to 5 nights and you would need a week off work. The package would include hotel and domestic car hire (Dodge charger or similar). Flights will need to be booked separately as I cannot work out any way of getting you flights from your local airport, but I will have somebody like Dial A flight ready to take the booking. We wont be staying in the official hotel for SIV, they use the Excaliber and anybody whos been to Vegas will tell you its not the best. So it may be MGM or New York New York. So I am estimating £1000 per person to include flights, hotel and car hire, but having seen some of the recent offers it will be cheaper than that. So what do I need? If you are genuinely interested and really want to go then reply to this thread just saying yes. If you are a possible but not totally sure then dont say yes. It wont stop you going, but I need to have a realistic idea on numbers when talking to suppliers. Nobody is committing to anything at the moment, I just want an idea on numbers. Feel free to ask questions now and when Im out in Vegas in a few weeks time I will get more details from the hotels.
  13. Have spoken to some of the other menbers who are heading to the Box Hill meet, and we are going to convoy from Claketts (clockwise!) earlyish to try and avoid parking in fields and mud bogs! 19. Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were lost long ago in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: - Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm; - Life isn’t always fair; and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies. Don’t spend more than you can earn and reliable strategies of adults, not children, are in charge. His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault if you did. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was in fact hot. She spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, - by his parents, Truth & Trust, - by his wife, Discretion, - by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason. He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers; - I Know My Rights! - I Want It Now! - Someone Else Is To Blame! - I’m A Victim! - Pay Me for Doing Nothing! Not many attended his funeral because so few realised he had passed.
  20. OK folks, it's happening again! Between Blythmark and myself (thanks Mark for stepping up too) you'll be able to place orders for your 2019 Forum Calendar very soon. However, we need content, good content. Same rules as last time apply - this is about showcasing the diversity and passion we have for the Supra and then lobbing a load of luscious pics in a calendar. There will be no bias towards 2000bhp builds, 'stock' cars or mates' cars - this is about ALL Supras of all colours, power and state - even NAs! So if you have a pic (or pics) of your car that you'd like to be considered for inclusion this is what you have to consider: Quality and resolution - last year quite a few pics were dismissed because they were too small (resolution) and just not quite good enough in terms of quality of pic (Google Jazz1 car pics for examples!). This was sad as some of the cars that were excluded because of this were great cars - don't fall into that trap. So if you submit entries make sure they are: 1. Of a high resolution (300dpi and physcially large in terms of size) if possible - in this case size does matter 2. Of a decent quality - this is not subjective, this is blatantly obvious! 3. Email them, don't post them on here 4. If you have a specific month you'd like the car to feature in (your birthday perhaps, an anniversary or a special memory of a friend etc) then let me know on the email, not on here. I'll endeavour to do all I can to make it happen as long as 1 and 2 above have been adhered to and there's space etc - can't make promises but I'll do my best Email me your pics (or WeTransfer, MailBigFile etc if they're mahoosive) to: [email protected]
