Sometimes, but not that barmy, it's P&P!!!!

Having recently upgraded the above lights, the old ones are up for grabs. All from my 93 j-spec. The headlights are not in great condition and are ideal for restoration either (painting inside or cleaning up) I believe Liam Lovatt can do the lens polishing for approx £100?? i think. All come complete with original bulbs too. Offers on all items, i will let this run approx 1 week. P&P is approx: Headlights=£15.00 Indicators=£4.00 Side repeaters=£1.00 All postage costs are guestimates and will be checked prior to posting so you don't pay ott postage. Cheers Mike.

My fiance is originally from there, so we pop down to somerset every couple of months, will have to keep a look out next time i'm there!!!

Saw a k reg j-spec approx 5pm friday night in Crewkerne Somerset driving through the town centre. Saw a L reg red j-spec tonight in Grantham approx 8.15PM you saw me and waved, any1 on ere?????

If it was friday afternoon i was on the 303 passing stone henge between about 2-3pm (silver)

As much as i don't like to admit it, i was so close to doing this, picked up the pump that said ultimate @ bp and only cos it was so greasy in diesel it made me look again, i almost dropped it when i realised i was about to fill up with diesel. Didn't realise until then that bp did ultimate diesel:blink:

Average around 300 smiles per tank:) unless i'm feeling particularly leaded right foot!!! Got 400 miles to one tank driving through france this summer, but that was almost always off boost, not wanting to get nicked by the gendarmarie!

When i went away for a w.end in Newquay recently i saw two villages....Cocks and the other was Goonhaven!

Get mine serviced every 6000m too, your belt is due a change, 60000m or 5 years, whichever is sooner.

Sorry to hear ths mate must be your worst nightmare having no insurance, and it happening in daylight too. It makes you sick!!! Hope you manage to retrieve it, as said many times, if you've got some pics, it can be shown around all the other forums, many hands and all that.....

Just bought some clear front indicators for my 93 j-sepc, £100, inc vat and p&p from envy, includes all wiring ect, fits as a direct replacement, no messing, anyone could do it in under an hour, use Michael G's guide to help you fit them, it really is easy and transforms the look of the front end.

Is this still going ahead, can we get it in the calendar???

How strange, they did come with bulbs, and labour is approx £50 an hour there, though as you said, it takes about 10 mins... He was adamant they had paid £180 each plus vat for them, i should of give him nics contact details to get them cheaper

As i said a few weeks ago, i'm getting some uk glass headlights from Mr T. The reason i used Mr T is.... when i had a service done there, they commented on the plastic ones being cloudy ect, and recommended i change them. So i said no at first, and on receipt of my invoice i read on to find i'd been quoted £325.00 inc 2 hours labour to change the lights. (2 hours????) So i rang up my local Toyota (Grantham) having recently moved and they said the price was approx £488.00. So i rang back up the Hull branch where i had the original quote of £325.00 and asked if it was correct, they said "If thats what we've quoted you, thats the price you'll pay" So without further ado, i arranged for them to be ordered and fitted. So yesterday was the fitting day, i took my car there, went into town, returned 2 hours later to see my lovely new uk spec lights fitted. I went in to settle the bill and the servicing manager said "It says on our computer that you have had a quote already from us??" i said, " yeah thats correct, for £325.00" He sort of looked at me, as to sort of say yeah right, drrrrrrrrrream on!!! He said, "have you got it written proof?" So i said, "yeah it's inthe car," and i went off to get it, returned and showed it to him. He said, "This can't be right, £325.00, it costs us £180.00 each headlight plus vat" So isaid, "yeah but you have to sell them to me for the price quoted, right?" Against his wills, he replies, "yes but i'll be finding out this afternoon who quoted this price to you." I said "when you do, will you give me a ring so i can order some more parts through him!!! Don't think he was too impressed! Meanwhile i paid the bill and see ya later Mr T. Sniggering all the way home

Visited the family in Hull this w,end and saw a white one approx 11am saturday near toys r us traffic lights. Saw a black one with blue wheels, approx 5pm, outside The National pub.

What was the name of the candy in a red packet (about 10p) you used to pour in your mouth and they would fizz and make a crackling sound?

I think the 50A fuse may have gone when jump starting the car, nd you may also have a short cct occuring when you go over bumps ect, get a multimeter or electrician to do some continuity and insulation resitance checks on your looms. You may have fried some wiring when jump starting the car.

Had mine yesterday, gave blood in the afternoon and went out for a few beers on the evening, D'oh! only remembered i was told not to drink after i'd already started drinking

As it says close to winchester, not sure on the colour of his truck, think its white, one of those big renault ones with the cab on air! He said it had a big exhaust too, though not sure on his theory of big as mine is only 3" or 4" Exhaust that is before all the jokes stsrt coming in

Was gonna post a thread exactly the same as this, as i washed the car yesterday (cos i was away for the w.end) and the amount of scratches that have appeared over the w.end, definitely think someone has scraped a bag down each side.... the n/side is the worst with a 5" long scratch I showed a mate them today and he recommended colour magic to help get rid. Think i'll be taking a trip to halfrauds for some tomorrow.
