It is yes, but the early twingate manifolds (of which I think there were only 2 were made, my own and Daves) weren't made as a kit, ie a downpipe/midpipe wasn't made to go with them. The manifold design was changed slightly when they started being made as kits so a DP/MP from a "kit" manifold wont neccessarily fit the 2 early manifolds. Robs one should have had a dedicated DP/MP made for it. Plus there are other factors to, I'm pretty sure that DP/MP was made to fit with a Precision turbo. These are different to the Borg Warner turbos which Rob is using which will also throw the DP/MP out. So basically Rob is using a DP/MP that wasn't made to fit the manifold or turbo.

It wasn't a dodgy batch!!! There never was a "dodgy batch"!!! Your manifold which you bought off Dave(I think it was)which was a pre-twin wastegate kit manifold. Originally the twin wastegate manifold wasn't sold as a kit, it was up to the owner/buyer to have a DP/MP made to fit with the manifold. The manifold was then changed to be sold as a kit so the DP/MP you bought off Jamie(I think)wasn't made to fit with the manifold you have. Does that make sense?

I'll have to talk to Chas about it, sounds like there is a problem I dont know about. If he isn't happy that is.

There was a reason for that, cant remember why now but there was. As far as I know there was never a problem with Chas over it?

I do worry about it, I dont like unhappy customers!

They must be slightly different, it only takes a very small difference to throw it all out. I have a S/S v band flange that will match up with the Ti exhaust if you need one. All you need then is an HKS clamp to match.

And is the DP/MP a terrible fit or is it because it doesn't line up properly with the Ti exhaust? Was the DP/MP ok with the BL exhaust? When Lee fitted my Ti exhaust he said it was a great fit apart from the issue with the flanges being different which is easy to sort out.

Ah that, not really sure what happened with that downpipe as they are all made from the same jig, it's all fixed now though. Trust me these kits fit, I wouldn't be selling them otherwise. They 4" version has recently been changed slightly to fit with the HKS style exhaust, no other reason.

It was either you or Lee that told me that the BL exhaust was the same as the HKS Ti exhausts. May be there's been some crossed wires along the line somewhere. The problem is its 2 products that weren't at the time made to fit each other. What part have you got held up with cable ties?

I thought it was just the different flange sizes that was the problem anyway? Also I'm sure someone said the HKS Ti and BL exhausts were the same fit, or is that not correct?

It's the first I've heard about it being a terrible fit? The 4" DP/MP was originally designed to fit with my own 4" stainless steel exhaust which you knew about correct? Flanges are to big? To big to fit the Ti exhaust you mean? Flow wise, I can't see 90deg bends effecting anything, doesn't seem to have held your engine back at all? The 4" DP/MP has been changed recently, it's now made to fit with the HKS Ti style exhausts and my own 4" exhausts have been changed to fit with the new version of the DP/MP.

What colour do you want? Blue or black?

I dont know personally, never tried them out. I've used HKS drag shocks on the road before and the car was very sloppy, basically they are designed for one thing in mind, drag racing. You can still drive the car to and from the drag strip of course.

Looking forward to seeing this, what are you doing about the wheels?

The drag racing season is coming up soon, anyone interested in these?
