guage lits up when i start the car regardless if the lights are on or not, i do have the mirror face if that makes a difference. its only on if key is turned ignition wire is when the meter(auto meter/circuit tester) reads 0v with ignition off and 12v ish with ignition on

when i fitted mine red to 12v ignition black earth orange/other was to permanant 12v, not illumination, i did wire it to illumination first and it did not work properly. my boost guage was blitz electronic if that makes a difference
