just called dvla, they told me all above board and the reg had previously been on a mercedes, can i take there word for it?

just spoken to him and the plate has been on the car for at least 2 years, he bought the 14 months ago he has the v5 document etc, strange

Just agreed a price for a car, Peugeot 306 for my daughter, started a hpi check and with just the registration no. its telling me the car is a mercedes Is it stolen ? does have a private plate on. Just left the guy a message to ring me back since I have found this out. I haven't seen the car yet was going to his address to view and if ok buy it tomorrow morning.
