  1. And southern US at that. Our vehicle inspection consist of "Eh boy, thats sum fancy car, Your headlights work? Good. Read me that vin number. Aight. Ill be right back. Heres your sticker." This place is kinda backwoods.
  2. Yeah it doesnt really weigh that much. Whats kind of weird though after I removed it the car seems to have a bit quicker throttle response. Maybe its just me searching for a reason to justify spending the 5 minutes it took to remove it. O I figured out how to do a bypass but I dont think I removed everything from the entire system. I just bent one of the lines that went into it and hooked it back to where the other line came out. What is the way to bypass it on mkiv.com?
  3. I am in the States so emissions are not really a problem. Will I gain or lose anything from removing the charcoal canister other than losing a little weight? I pulled it and the car is running the same. there is no vacume in the hoses and no vapor coming from them either. If I keep it off are there any bad effects?
  4. My NA doesnt have traction control, however it does have something on the Throttle body that is not the TPS. On the turbos this is where you unhook the Traction control. Could Unhooking this remove the top speed limit?
  5. Not bad ill definately have to do that. Thanks man
  6. oh and whats the conversion to us dollars?
  7. Is it a universal piece? I dont see any aplication list on the tsd
  8. I have a US spec Supra NA and it cuts power at 135 to 140 mph. Is there any way to get rid of this function without a completely new ecu rechip?
  9. If you there is any kind of EGR system pulling both cats is not a good idea. The valves might clatter a bit. If you do pull both make sure you have some back pressure in your system, a resonator or silencer will work.
  10. Yeah I got the email from them shortly after I posted this. Sorry about that.
  11. I have recently ordered from the site nonturbo.com and i havent been able to get in touch with them in the past few days to check the status. Has anyone else ordered from this site? If so how was the service.
  12. i havent had any problems with either. Both get the things i order shipped fairly quickly. Its always the shipping companies that are the trouble for me.
  13. Could anyone tell me what I would expect to pay for a TT VVTi head in US dollars? I am doing a crazy NA buildup and plan on using the VVTi.
  14. The catback I am using is from APEXi and its a very nice piece but yet it touches the back bumper
  15. here in the states its like $2.50 a gallon. And you are right we have the lowest gas prices in the world. Everyone is still pissed off about it though.
  16. you want a response just be crazy. everyone is like wtf and someone has to say something.
  17. seriously though check out that header. If you havent already.
  18. Yeah. the stock bumper hits the tip of the exhaust. If i could get my camera to work i would send you a pic of mine.
  19. well everyones First post needs a response. So you are welcome.
  20. You may need to trim your rear facia if you are running an aftermarket turbo catback. I have an N1 and it constantly bumps my rear facia and vibrates very badly when the car is at 1000 rpm Any faster and it smooths out and does fine.
  21. For the exhaust I strongly recomend APEXi N1 turbo exhaust. It sounds really good at all rpm. Oh be sure to check on the 2jzge header from nonturbo.com the claimed gains are remarkable. For the intake I fashioned my own from a shortened Civic intake tube and a very large K&N filter and it works really well for mid to high rpm.
  22. Alright, I have a NA with a K&N conical filter. The piping did get pretty hot after a long trip. I did two things to cool my intake. First I changed to a TRD style hood which I must say lowered underhood temperatures dramatically. The second thing I did which is helping was I insulated the aluminum tubing with silicone electric tape. It may lookn like crap but it does lower your intake temperatures. I plan on doing a header wrap in the near future to further lower temperatures. I live in Mississippi and in the summer the temperatures can really shoot up there so if it works for me I could work for anyone else with the same problem.
  23. I see yall (yeah I am from southern US) touched on flat bottoming a supra for aerodynamics but in the picture only the front facia was done. I havent had a chance to read all of the messages so you may have already said but anyway, shouldnt the whole car be flat bottomed (say like an enzo) to make the most of the downforce?
  24. Oh yeah and about the partner being ok with the money, my gf loves to go fast so whenever I do something to my car all I have to do to convince her its worth it is let her drive around a bit. Not that this has much or anything to do with it at all. Just thought I would say it for the heck of it.
