  1. I was on my way into the kent modified car show and this car was behind me in traffic, would have stopped to say hi when in but not sure if you came in!
  2. Im with Flux at the mo just got my renewal through for £1400 I called Sky and they have given me a quote for £950 thats with some more benefits than flux i.e. protected no claims, like for like on mods and guaranteed value
  3. Right ive used the search function but no-one *seems* to have had this exact problem. Basically when i start the car in the morning or after leaving it standing for a while it starts and idles fine.....But..... if i drive down the shops for example leave it for less than an hour say then get in and start her it will idle erratically between 500-600 revs straight away. If i rev it for a 15 - 20 seconds it clears and idles fine. I suspect the Idle Control Valve may need cleaning but does anyone else have any ideas? any help appreciated as always Brian
  4. Sorry didnt read the post properly just saw "veilside" havent got any top secret stuff on my car, i have a full veilside kit minus the spoiler, but people at work keep telling me they've have seen one exactly like mine about locally, of course exactly to some people isnt EXACTLY. For example recently i was picking my other half up from Pizza express in bromley i parked the other side of the road and phoned her to tell her where i was. About 5 mins later another silver supra (standardish) pulled up right outside she nearly got into the wrong car!! Anyhoo sorry have taken this a bit off topic Pics of car below i have a dateless NI plate on mine XIL **** give me a flash if ya see me
  5. There used to be a RED one at the end of my road, dont know if the guy sold it cos i havent seen it for about a month! Also see another red supra regularly around the swanley bexley area apart from that i would regard them as a rare sight Oh and i am not one of the grumpy Supra drivers although i know what you mean i usually flash my lights when i see another Supe often i get a blank "what the hell are you flashin at" look in return!
  6. Hmmm this must be the twin of my car that everyone keeps telling me about!! Got so excited then, thought i had my first "spot". Unfortunately my reg does not have BHP in the reg
  7. I was up there tuesday just gone didnt see any of this go on though! there were a few "chavvy" types in non jap cars that turned up and loitered about and quite a few of those poxy moped riding idiots could have had something to do with them. Generally everyone up there is very well behaved, it will be a shame if they stop this happening!
  8. Im 24 mate, got a quote from Sky Fully comp, mods declared, agreed value on my J Spec NA for £971. Bear in mind though i do have 7 years no claims and a clean licence have to admit though most people weren't interesteed when i told them my age either.
  9. that makes sense now!! ive been focusing my attention at the top but if im right there are 3 plasticy plugs holding the seal in place there and i remember thinking blimey they look buggered, anyone thanks again for the help matey im gonna bung up that bit with silicone tonight ill let u know how i get on
  10. anyone know how to remove the plastic around the seatbelt its part of the rear quarter that has the speaker in it?
  11. I've probably drunk about 2 Litres or more coke a day since i was about 15 im now 24 and its not killed me, i still have my teeth as i brush regularly, i havent put on shit loads of weight and ive certainly not died of dehydration, some days i dont even drink straight water i survive on Coke and Coffee! So i'll have a coke please
  12. Already done all that, i.e. Called TFL told them that i dont own a/the van and they said i need to send back the appeal form which is included with the PCN (have done this) I also called the DVLA who advised me to put in writing what had happened (letter below) just a pain in the arse cos some git is driving about totting up fines etc and im getting all the bloody hassle, oh and to top it off you can see clearly from the picture with the fine that he wasn't even wearing a seatbelt!!! anyway heres the letter i wrote to the DVLA 21st July 2005 Dear Sir/Madam I am writing regarding a Penalty Charge Notice I received yesterday from TFL (see enclosed). According to your records the vehicle registration number K198 SKM Citroen C 15D Van is registered to a Mr. John at my address. The only people currently residing at the above address are my Fiancée Miss ******** and myself; neither of us own the aforementioned van. I took the liberty of using your online checking system to see when the vehicle last changed owners and according to your records this was 15/11/04. Miss *******and myself moved into this house on the 6th December 2004 and the previous owners were a Mr ********and Mrs ********* It seems from the above evidence that someone is fraudulently using our address in order to evade fines etc. Please could you update your records accordingly and provide me with written confirmation so that I may forward this to TFL. Thank you in advance for your time. Best regards Brian Bunning ENC.
  13. The thing is the reg isnt even the same as my supe or our fiesta, its just been registered here, i had a look on the dvla site and it was registered at our address about 3 weeks before we moved, in but it definitely wasnt the previous houseowners either. Oh well ill wait and see what TFL and the DVLA have to say
  14. Couldn't have put it better myself
  15. Could do but id rather they caught the bastards! anyhoo the letter threatens bailiffs if no reply in 28 days im sure its just scare tactics but i dont want bailffs taking my furniture cos some tw*t has registered his van at my address to pull a fast one!
  16. ......a bloody congestion charge fine for a Citroen Van i don't own that is registered to a "Mr John" at my address bastards, just had to phone TFL to sort it out then DVLA what a pain in the arse Anyone else had this before
  17. think i saw it at the jap meet at bluewater last night would explain why it was in greenhithe
  18. Just wondered if anyone on here is going, i assume you won't be taking the supra if you are!
  19. Sorry just re-read your post, i have now proved there are two, one red and one white!
  20. It wasnt a white one was it, i was in Ireland last week and i only saw one the whole time i was there looked standard too it was around the outskirts of Dublin
  21. They wont be able to get away with it with cars already in the system surely? I'm sure it will only apply to cars registered after 2005 for example! I know this may be controversial, but ive always thought it should be on the fuel anyway and scrap tax discs! It makes sense really as the more you drive the more your car damages the roads/environment! Im not sure how they would cover tax exempt cars im sure they could do a cashback kind of scheme
  22. When i was looking for a supra (couple of months ago) i nearly bought one with a private plate on it it was L11 SEU obviously spaced to say LOSE U! but the car was a bit tatty i did end up getting a car with a private plate but its just a dateless one XIL **** which im thinking of selling if anyone is interested in it cheap! Seen a plate i want on DVLA Site!
  23. hmmm sounds interesting may poodle on down, is this gonna be a day or evening thing?
  24. You can buy mine if you like, Genuine Apexi Kit, it has a hole in the alloy body to take the air mass/flow meter, easy peasy to fit (and remove ) i just don't like the noise of the thing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36680&item=7974581551&rd=1
  25. Im actually from swanley, i was dropping a friend off to pick up his MG ZT from Rover. I do stray into Bromley now and again as my other half works at the Police Station there ill keep my eye out for you what do you drive
