Fair comment will try Sky - do they open on sat?? I was pleased with the quote i had from Admiral as it was really competitive but like you say if they are an arse to get to pay up then it may not be best. I originally got my insurance quote from Admiral who were very competitive and provided an excellent quote BUT now i am looking for a manual i returned to re-quote with a manual and i can't see it listed at all???? THey have Auto, Auto (import), turbo, turbo (import) etc etc the only one that doesn't mention a turbo or auto is FI???? any ideas i need to clarify the insurance is all good on the Manual although i can't believe its going to be much different from the auto. Right found this spoken to the guy and it sounds top!!!!! Done 79,000 miles 1 uk owner who had it serviced every 10,000 miles and changed the cambelt every 10,000 miles at the same time!!!!!!!! too good to be true??? He says has all bills and receipts for servicing and belts along with all MOT's since its been in the country. Its black and standard bar a stainless exhaust AND its a MANUAL in my price range!!!!!!!!! i am sooo excited. Going to test drive it tomorrow - is there anything i should be paying particular attnetion too?? Are there any sounds or noises that i shouldn't be hearing?? Well as i am on the scout i found this on ebay for sale - bit dubious though for a few reasons. Never seen this colour before and wonder if its covering something up?? Its not a standard colour right?? Also it has no UK history at all so if its never been touched this could spell trouble?? I do like the colour and think the wheels set it off well and its an Aero Top as well - i don't mind an Auto if its an Aerotop really so thats not a massive problem. Guy told me he is looking for £4500.00 but i said taking into account no history and need for a service more around £4000 would be suitable. What do you guys think?? Is it trouble or if i can sort if for £4k is it a bargain?? Well looking back through all my posts you guys have been great and provided me with some real detailed answers and when i read the mag it just confused the hell out of me!!!!!! You would think for a so called 'Jap Specific' mag they might know what they were talking about - oh well i like the pictures nice coloured blue one - not seen one in this hue before it real nice is it the Sapphire Blue?? Obviously being new and seeing you all comment on mistakes - i am confused when they do there spec run down. SZ - Non Turbo model no rear wing, five speed manual or auto gearbox. SZ-R - As SZ but with six speed manual gear box and LSD. Stick with me hear!!!! So the SZ APPARENTLY has no rear spoiler - most Supras i have looked at ALL have rear spoilers bar a few????? THere is no mention on the SZ-R of whether it does or doesn't have a rear spoiler - the SZ categorically says 'no rear wing' - when i am looking os there any way of knowing which model i am actually looking at from any encoding in the VIN or owt????? Sounds like a local specialist maybe in order i do know of a top Jap TUner 2 mins from my house (shameless plug!!!!!) called Performance Engineering who really know there stuff. If you live near Weston - S - Mare give them a call well worth it!!!!! 01934 822262 - all servicing and tuning of Jap Cars plus rolling road and in house exhausts. Also check out their site at http://www.performance-engineering.co.uk. Anyway i dodn't know whether having it serviced by Toyota carried any weight when selling?? But if there gonna be costly then it aint worth it - doesn't sound too bad generally though. Suprasam

Phoned a few people about some Supras for sale and having a chat with them i am thinking i will want to have a service done when purchased. So will Toyota dealers touch Supras and is it worth the hassle having young YTS trainees pouring over such a car?? What sort of cost is involved in having a service done and a belt change?? I have read that a belt change in a Sup is not a tricky procedure so guessing not going to be too costly??!!??! I Hope......... Seen a few Supras advertised with Active Front Spoiler - is this standard and how does it work?? Sounds cool i am guessing its like the Mitsubishi GTO one which deploys at a certain speed?? Was this standard across the range?? If not is it possible to refro fit one?? Cheers Suprasam

Well my car has sold and i have a healthy bank balance (for a short while!!!) the hunt can now well and truly begin - thanks for everyones help over the last few weeks, you knowledge has been invaluable.
