  1. i presume a dual may also be able to have a different boost pressure set for each turbo?
  2. yeah sounds good to me tobyg: yours in your sig does look like it but i think it was a darker red if there is more than one shade of red they did?

nah it was just the silver that made me think that initially! didn't fancy butchering it myself & when i went to the local bodyshop, not only did he admit to using a similar technique, he wasn't of the opinion that heating the paintwork may save repainting & would have just repainted both rear quarters. total cost £300 so i just thought i'd get the original size tyres bought & get it back on the road where i prefer it and i have sold the Yokos on
  4. was it you? a young lady in her red, i think UK Spec (it had headlamp squirters, does this mean it's UK?!) standard spoiler & alloys i was in the Silver one waiting for the jet wash you're the first i've seen round here

i'm definitely up for next month as long as i'm not away with work or anything was all set for coming down but the tyres i put on on Sat were rubbing the arches on little bumps so i didn't want to drive it anywhere typically, i ended up getting replacements sorted during my lunch hour on Monday but then i'd already assumed i wasn't going and couldn't really make the arrangements at short notice to still make it down as for the RX7, PHEW! i thought it was a Supra at first, Gareth's to be honest!! so, count me in for next month
  6. thanks again for your help here Merckx: the 2 places i'd found through Google (one of which was spark-plugs.co.uk) had the cheapest offering for the BKR6EP-11 at £10.47 each + VAT, but thanks for the Brown Bros details Mr Meldrew but now i'm thinking i can just go for the BKR7E and be prepared for any BPU stuff i do too then, so i'm gonna go back to try for them at Partco or Halfords and see if they got them in the induction kit plus stock exhaust upgrade mean it ain't stock anymore - right?
  7. i was just asking for the NGK BKR6EP-11 since i read these were best for stock can't really class mine as BPU yet so didn't think i needed anything more than those anyone got an online place i can order some from? not heard of Brown Brothers & i forgot to put that Halfords wanted £16 each (that's per plug!!!!) thanks guys, i knew i was wasn't going crazy wes
  8. howdi all, can someone please tell me where i can get the NGK stock plugs at a normal price?! so far i've had Partco quote me 9.50 each, DMS (another local motorfactor) quote me 12.66 each and then the local Toyota quoted me 13.13 each plus vat (this was actually for Denso PK20R11 which are apparently what have now replaced the NGKs according to them) i've been searching & reading and it looks like people are only paying £42 for a full set of DensoS!! and NGKs should be more like a couple of quid each, at most?! i'm also assuming that with just the Apexi induction kit and stainless cat-back exhaust, i don't need to go 'colder' just yet i'd really appreciate it if anyone can help me... wes
  9. had the exact same problem last weekend when i picked my Supra up small battery and small connectors - went to Halfords, got the calcium version of the one that's recommended for all Supras (after reading on here that many people had already used them with no problems, calcium apparently being better for people who do shorter more frequent journeys) and it came with a 3 year warranty for £59.99 large connectors to fit were a couple of quid each (make sure you get a positive & a negative as they are different, in case you didn't know) getting the old small connectors off the existing cables was a nightmare so in the end i just cut them as close as i could to the old connectors & then took the plastic shielding back a little further, but be careful to make sure that if you do this you will still be able to reach the terminals!! the final problem was the positive terminal needed to have 2 wires going to it (presumably alarm or fuse box as previously mentioned) but there was no way they would fit into the new connector hole (you can't just twist these together like speaker wire!!) so i ended up going to Maplin and getting a gold audio positive battery connector (about £4) that had 4 individual holes (2 large & 2 small) for seperating the wires going into the connector, thus providing a couple spare for an amp etc in the future hope this helps, wes
  10. that's the one - she has given me her blessing so i'm picking it up tomorrow

    ASCII Supra logo

i'm still trying to convince my wife that geeky people can own nice cars too but she just wouldn't even understand this you must be very proud whilst on the geeky thread, has anyone ever seen a proper car badge with the 'intel inside' logo but with 'turbo inside' on it instead?
  12. all sorted thanks to Mr Whiffin hopefully picking it up in the next week or so
  13. i spotted you last week mate, you were sat next to me doing about 100+ through Salmesbury, wishin i wasn't driving your car someone even getting a picture as well is very cool what are these cards you're on about?
  14. yeah they do have some nice ones there but seem quite expensive for what they are. for the same price i could be looking at a lot more for my money through a custom import i hate wanting something this much!!!
  15. Matt, the one that you've got is way above what i'm looking to pay for my first Supra but cheers anyway
  16. tis nice that one and an ok price, but it's still got standard wheels and not even skirts when i'm looking for something kitted, i think. and it's a manual cheers anyway
  17. well, i was getting a bit tired of his typical forecourt talk with someone who had 'phoned him last night to say they were coming back for it on Monday' and so when i asked him to go get the keys to at least fire it up he was gone for ages so i got back in my car and was jsut about to pull away when he came out waving the keys at me talking about where his trade plates were i just said to him straight, for that price i could list plenty of things wrong with it when i could get a TT aero for less with the same miles (allbeit a couple of years older) or a mint TT with half the mileage & newer for almost £3k less!! he then changed his attitude to say go and look at all the other shite around and then come back. i don't think so thanks to all others for the recommendations, i've just got to be patient, not something i'm good at wes
  18. well, after last week's terrible visit to Keighley Trade Centre (yes i now know of their reputation since joining here!!) this week i took a drive to Discount Car Centre in Manchester who had about 5 TTs in the one that did seem to be the best of the bunch was Toyota kitted, big 18 split rims, turbo timer (sat unwired in the boot) and not bad stereo however, for the £13k asking price you also got an odd concave in the front splitter, bits of the interior not clipped in properly, a missing drivers side wind deflector (but the remains of the sticky stuff to hold it in place were still there) a rear high level spoiler (the one that attaches above the top of the rear screen) again in the boot but the remains of the sticky stuff still on the car and upon close inspection, one of those screw on exhaust tailpipes covering the standard one i just want to turn up somewhere and see something that makes me feel like i can't leave without it!! i must just be going to the wrong places! i'm already in talks with Jurgen about an import and thinking about a drive up to Vine Place for a look Whifbitz is a bit too far for a journey just for a look, but they seem to have a couple of nice looking motors there at the moment the minters do exist don't they, as in ones for sale, the only one i've seen in the flesh recently is gaz's but of the 15 i must have now looked at, on supposedly import specialist forecourts, i'm lucky if they're clean ffs!!! sorry bout the rant, wes
  19. about 5.30pm today (Friday 25/03/05) heading in the opposite direction to me on the M56 (you were on your way towards Chester), just want to say what a fine example of a kitted Supra & thanks for being there just as i was breaking the news of my intended purchase of one to my wife hope mine is half as nice when i get it

    just a quick hi

thanks all for the welcomes i didn't know that all aerotops were autos, but do now thanks the JDM kit is nice, i just don't particularly like them in standard form with no skirts etc
  21. howdi all just signed up and starting my hunt for a TT Supra, probably auto and ideally an aerotop and non-standard exterior particularly like the c-west kit at the mo any regular northwest meets i can gatecrash? cheers, wes
