  1. frozen here too i'd be happier if it did snow it's been that long since we've had any here! think i'll see if the body shop are open this week & get mine booked in for it's new bumper and then go and borrow the old fella's X5 while he's on hols! we'll pick up where we left off with the Supe about March say?
  2. does this help matey? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=41927&highlight=spark+plugs+recommended
  3. excellent - hope to see it down at Mascrat if i can make it this month
  4. looks mint Ian is that a standard exhaust on it though? looks like you'll be spending money on it straight away
  5. i remember at that show in Leeds when we all turned up & everyone was looking to get their sponges out to wipe off any muck caught whilst on the way there & Ian produced HOT water from somewhere just to make sure it cleaned up even better now that's commitment
  6. howdi Mark, it's pretty much BPU, aside from the fuel pump i think 18" wheels & yes it's a jap auto thanks, Wes

    earthing kits

exactly there's one that's fairly easy to access from the front & is a 10mm bolt then get as many others as you can find to ensure the best earth and make use of the remaining cables that come with the kit!
  8. well, the paintshop do Mercedes & BMW for a trader i know, cars that would cost a lot more than my lowly Supra! Unless he's underestimated or it's a good price because i mentioned who had recommended him, i'm not sure, but i will be asking about the blending etc before anything goes ahead as if it looked like the Greddy spoiler on Pauls post i would definitely not be happy & if it is at all noticeable i'd reconsider havin the new bumper altogether
  9. yes but this was at least 6 months ago now so will do it again to be sure
  10. cheers guys - a local place who i've been recommended quoted me 'around' £250, so i guess i should be happy with that figure it is the standard silver & it's the proper do-luck, not an ebay one
  11. definitely a possibility, cheers Hadyn i've checked the fluid level & it seems fine but it's got to be worth a try
  12. hopefully my new Do Luck bumper should be arriving this weekend does anyone know an approximate fair cost for removal of old bumper, spray & fit of a new bumper & transfer of front & side indicators? ta, Wes
  13. i'm on a mission to find out what the vibration is that i get when my auto is sat in 'drive' with my foot on the brake it's also sometimes noticeable when allowing the car to 'idle' it's way forward if you know what i mean, when it's a slight incline, such as when i'm putting it in the garage if i pop it out into neutral or park then it's fine again which is leading me to believe it may be something to do with the auto box / torque converter the idle speed doesn't seem to affect it much, and i've also fitted an earthing kit in case it was some kind of electrical drain issue or bad earth has anyone ever heard of resetting or re-calibrating a torque converter? i'm a bit puzzled really on how to solve this one thanks, Wes
  14. can i get on the list with my elvington time?
  15. i haven't stopped using Goodyear GSD3 tyres since i first tried them back on my Rover 600 turbo & Coupe more noticeably impressive in the wet & i'm sure they've helped me out on more than one occasion where others would have meant me leaving the road! think i paid about 380 fitted for the last pair also liked the Yokohama DNA tyres that were on the supra when i bought it, but i think they have to be imported so might cost a bit more
  16. light blue example on it's way down Clifton Drive, past Pontins (going from Blackpool towards St Annes) had a spoiler & aftermarket wheels, i gave the thumbs up and you gave a wave back are you a new one round here? love the colour
  17. just been reminded we've got tickets to see Little Britain in Blackpool typical
  18. see here for calendar details & sign up good opportunity to meet up for a Christmas gathering BrianM & I had talked about seeing if folks fancied having something to eat there too since we didn't really get chance at the Blackpool meet we can meet up along the way etc if people want to hope to see y'all there

    Mascrat Manor

the usual jap car meet at Mascrat Manor near Warrington, just off the M6
  20. very possible paul, my dad is down there quite often and they'll probably fit nicely in the back of his X5. wanna PM me some details or something?
  21. cloth in immaculate condition, came out of my 96 facelift Jap TT which is still pre 50k miles drivers seat pops forward a little when you get out (think it's just the spring) but i've got a full set of spares for both driver & passenger seat, including all mechanisms & electrics etc, which the buyer can have with them £120 + P&P (collection preferred!) otherwise, i'll probably sort the drivers seat myself & stick them on ebay & put the electrics etc up seperately if anyone has any of the following, i may be willing to do some kind of trade with cash either way: - cold air box for aftermarket filter (something similar to this ) - aftermarket front bumper (DoLuck or Samurai?) pics available for anyone who's interested, just PM me
  22. homer, CJ & lockys96 - when you get a mo would you mind measuring the ground clearance on yours? thanks, Wes
  23. see here matey http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=52268 you know how low mine is, i just measured it and it gives just under 3.5" of clearance from the ground
  24. cheers Rob, that was the modellista version right? i see what you meant now by the carbon fibre part at the bottom
