  1. its a bloody good idea as they should not be nickin your caps
  2. yeah super glue small bits of broken razor blade to your caps and keep a pair of gloves in the boot for when you do the tyre pressures......you know they are sharp but they don't.....nobody nicks my valve caps...ahhhhh haaaa haaaaa haaaaaa
  3. checked level and all is ok, belt was replaced 8,000 miles ago at service, thought replacing oil would help but alas i think not.....go on then how much is a new pump or to get one reconned
  4. right, went out today and while trying to park in a tight spot my power steering went all juddery as if it was not working? this has happened once or twice before but not as bad. should i replace the fluid? if so is there a procedure for doing so? and also how do get the air out once you've drained the res? or is it self bleeding,and if poss can you clean the filter or do you have to replace it? one last thing is dextron 2 atf ok for the power steering any one else had this happen? please don't say i need a new rack or pump

  6. the bonnet can be repaired but why should you fork out for that.so i say stick at it and they might cave in but if not.........

  9. yeah right oh..ask him how the car got so hot the bonnet cracked without one his lads givin complete large for about 2 hours..(but you've not ever driven the car hard for a long time have you) and guess what the bonnet seems to stay uncracked????????????

  11. giving you the brush off m8. he don't want to pay for one of his lads fuck up!!!! i still say its caused be pressure i.e heavy handed cnut closing your bonnet without a clue how to close it...

  13. imho that has been caused by pressure to the front of the bonnet..bending the pins and cracking the weakest points..but thats just my 2 penneth worth :thumbdown
  14. cheers nic but the mrs says leave them alone so i am going to clean them up and put them back as stock until they look so bad i'll have to kill her and then change them
  15. i've carded everyone i've seen and still no joy..theyt are all miserable round here and very rarely wave back when you do see one..all up their own bums i think..well all the ones that don't aknowlegde you anyway

  17. found some in white with rings done..looks ok so now all i need to know is gloss or satin????? please help
  18. has anyone got some good close up pics of the j spec lights painted black? with the rings done too, as mine are flaking and i have the lights apart ready to be painted but don't know what they look like without the chrome rings? also should i go satin or gloss

  21. thats ya best idea, but with prep work its all about experiance i can tell you the complete way step by step to repair a dent or a scratch and/or even fit a body kit i've been doing rolls royce and bentley restoration for 10 years now and was in crash repair before that. you just need to get stuck in with a helpful eye over your shoulder. i think thats the only way you learn...by your mistakes
