  1. Go too LOW, you wont be able to go Home
  2. As Peter said above, get a bit more of it removed first so its not as thick and allow the product to get into it, the cold weather wont help with removal at the mo, perhaps gently warm it up a little if you can (heat gun / hair dryer) The tardis mentioned is great and will soon dissolve that. Then just give the area a light polish after.
  3. When are you expecting delivery?
  4. Will look forward to this. Are you dead set on the gold?
  5. That's a really tough call, has been a lot of cars come and go! The E21 323 was a lot of fun though
  6. As a 'general' rule, a TT with a decat fitted where the 2nd cat is, but still having the 1st cat in place, you should not have a problem passing the mot test.
  7. Really nice! Some lovely touches going into this car
  8. Looking forward to seeing it done. The car has come a long way since you've had it, fair play to you
  9. Happy Birthday pal, have a great day
  10. I am good thanks dude Good to see you back here and hope you are well too
  11. The 3m polish range are ok, I would normally only use the Fastcut if doing multi stage corrections. The older fastcut was very dusty and benefited being mixed with a little ultrafina but the plus range has fixed this a bit and also allows a longer worktime. Personally I prefer Meguiars and Menzerna polishes. Menzerna can play up a bit in colder weather if you are not familiar with it, Meguiars is a bit more forgiving but may have to be worked a little longer to get the results. There are so many products available these days for all areas of valeting/detailing, I understand how it can be confusing for a home user. Its a case of finding something you like using, know how to get the best from and fits within your budget. Otherwise you can end up spending a fortune and having a garage full of stuff 3/4 full that you don't use.
  12. Your welcome Your new supra is a great blue and I'm sure you will enjoy the product on that colour car should you use it.
  13. Sorry, only just seen this thread! looks like you have already made your purchase, and a good one too It's a great product, easy to use and can be machined by DA or used by hand. Just make sure your Dad applies a wax or sealant over the top or its filler properties will get washed out quite quick. Other than that I was going to recommend a new wash mitt and drying towel, something that can be nice to use, good for his car and something he can enjoy using each time
