  1. How bad are the faded areas and is there actual lacquer damage or would rectifying the rust spots and then a very good detail/machine polish of the car be an option for you?
  2. If your paintwork is poor in areas with rust spots around window sills etc, then just by having it wrapped, those bad areas are simply going to become even worse over time. The wrap will have a shelf life before it becomes tatty and starts to lift around the edges. Once removed, the wrap cost will be down the drain and your still left with paintwork that needs resolving. Which will now be at a higher cost as the damage/rust will have spread even further. I don't see it as a wise move to mask problems with a wrap. Save the money and do it properly. As said above, wraps are also not cheap, especially if you want it done correctly so that door/boot sills are not displaying a different colour, I know I would soon find that very tiring each time I got in the car.
  3. Happy belated Birthday Peter, hope you had a relaxing day

    Supra costs

As above, it will be very unlikely to find a 6 speed TT for 6k, certainly not a clean one. You are more in the auto territory on that budget
  5. Glad all is sorted, time to enjoy now
  6. As Ric has said, APC or G101 (which is the autosmart version, and cheaper than Meguiars, but also great) is for cleaning. You dilute this with water, and the ratio of water is far higher so it does last a very long time. The nice thing with these products is they can be used for so many different tasks, such as interior, tyres before applying dressing (there is no point applying a dressing to a greasy dirty tyre), exterior rubbers and plastics, cleaning an engine bay that isn't completely covered in oil and grease, door/boot/fuel shuts etc Spritz is very good for finishing, I also use Poorboys natural look dressing
  7. Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner
  8. Looking good Get some metal polish and wire wool on that exhaust
  9. Yep, microfibre cloths for the APC. Personally I use Meguiars APC bought in bulk, and I dilute it down to the required strengths. It requires a very small dilution ratio, so a little bit goes a very long way. But im sure you could even use some 'daisy' APC from Tesco, which will be very cheap. For the Natural Dressing, just use a small applicator pad, as if you were waxing a car
  10. I would recommend using an All Purpose Cleaner to thoroughly clean the interior. You can then dress everything with Poorboys Natural Look Dressing. This product smells great and will leave a very nice 'natural' non greasy finish. For the steering wheel I would just clean with All Purpose Cleaner, you don't want to make this slippery in anyway. The seats can also be cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner and then conditioned with something like Gliptone conditioner. Hope this helps
  11. As you have said, just cover up any main electrical components, I would use a pressure washer but to be honest you don't even really need it turned on. Just a fine mist is fine and use it to rinse areas once you have cleaned them. Make sure not to get water around the plug wells. Just use common sense and take your time.
