  1. Dont have a pic, but I got mine new from Toyota last year for about £10
  2. There isn't any oil pressure in the sump:taped: Still, its not my engine so why should i care.
  3. Only within limits. If you ask a centrifugal pump to pump alot of fluid up to a height ,the volume flow and pressure will drop proportional to the height. By itself it shouldn't cause a major problem, but this engine sounds like it suffers from low oil pressure anyway and the filter up there wont help.
  4. Use a core bit to cut some small holes in the base of the tree, fill with diesel and replug the hole using some of the original core. Then cut it down when its dead.
  5. So you're saying your oil filter is right at the top of the engine bay:shock: Oil pressure will naturally rise and fall with rpm from minimum 1.5 bar (25psi ?) at warm idle to a max of about 8 bar (115psi ?) at full power over 4k rpm. It should NEVER drop to 0 whereever your sensor is fitted. Relocate your relocation kit to somewhere else. Not 100% sure of my bar to psi conversion but should be close enough.
  6. Assuming your gauge is accurate, the oil pressure should never drop below about 1.5 bar (25ish psi I think)
  7. £25 and i'll come and collect it I assume it includes the torque converter and bellhousing too.
  8. Only the RLTC takes its rpm feed from the ignitor, the AVCR and clifford take rpm signal from the tacho feed. I dont think its a bad signal from the ignitor or the ecu rev limit would come in at 7k rpm first. The connection from the loom to the RLTC is good, but i might consider shielding it. Didn't have my phone in the car at the time 2200 rpm. I can send you the setup file if you PM your email address.
  9. I was doing some datalogging on my RLTC yesterday and i've got a couple of strange rpm spikes on the graph: and zoomed right in: I was slowing down for a junction at the time and the wheel speed and cuts are normal, its just the huge rpm spike to nearly 8500rpm. The RLTC gets its rpm signal from the ignitor feedback, and its not recorded on my AVCR rpm graph. It never happened again in about 20 minutes driving. I've had very occasional (1 or 2 times a year) problems with what i thought was the RLTC causing the engine to stall, and i'm now guessing that a similar spike up to the RLTC's hard rev limit which is at 10000rpm could cause the engine to cut. Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this and more importantly, how to stop it happening again? Thanks.
  10. Looks good Cant argue with the Veilside/Trial look in any colour
  11. Got mine earlier in the week as well, thanks.
  12. I was once offered R1CH P for the bargain price of £18,000. I put my current plate; B19 RGP (my initials) on my supra because i thought its original L reg made it look old.
  13. I made it through to the end, but I agree he seemed to fall flat on his face. Not impressed. Enough of the Jimmy Carr spoilers though please - i've got tickets to see him later in the year.
  14. If they include the panel that goes next to the back seat on the nearside (the one with the speaker grill in), i'll take them. PM your phone number and i'll give you a ring to sort out pickup.
  15. :search:Anyone got one of these they dont need? PM me please.
  16. Been a long time since i've driven a baby truck, but the latest DAF 45 is a nice motor. Stay away from mercedes (slow) and iveco (unreliable).
  17. No Japanese car will ever become a true classic in this country. Don't know why but there is a snobbish attitude in the classic car world to Jap-crap. Try asking someone with an E-type or early 911 what they think of a 240Z for proof. All our cars, modified or stock will just become "old"
  18. Yes, but it can depend on the FMIC. Mine was fitted with a greddy 2 row with plenty of clearance and was replaced with a GVN smaller crash bar to improve the fitting of the bumper. I would not recommend removing the crash bar altogether in any circumstances.
  19. Absolutely, and in the strongest possible terms I will not sign this, because the Palestinians are not "innocent civilians". They voted for Hamas. Hamas is a terrorist organisation that openly called for the destruction of Israel prior to the last Palestinian election, and a majority voted for them, presumably fully aware that Hamas intended to attack Israel. If you believe in the democratic system, then you must also believe these rocket attacks are supported by the majority of Palestinians, so therefore the inevitable consequences must also be supported by the majority of Palestinians. I hope there is a soloution to the middle east, but I fear that, much like the Germans who voted for Hitler prior to WW II, the Palestinians who voted for Hamas are responsible for much bloodshed on both sides, now and in the future.
  20. Sold, PM on way Yes, PM me if you're still interested
  21. BUMP, any interest, or they're all going in the bin.
