  1. My old MkIII supra was metallic black with a red flake, whole car glowed red in the sunlight - looked amazing and was a standard Toyota colour in '90. Never seen any MkIV's in that colour!
  2. Check out the dvla website on registration plate regulations on imported vehicles. If you have an J-spec there are different rules for number plate letter sizes. Basically you can get away with a plate about 2/3 the size of a standard uk plate (maybe smaller, depending on your reg). thats what i've got, mounted vertically. Great fun argueing with the old bill - none of whom have the first idea what the regs are!!!
  3. B&Q are selling proper air conditioners with an inside and outside units for about £600.00. take a bit of fitting but much better than the mobile units. See the link: http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/product/product.jsp?CATID=8030002&entryFlag=false&PRODID=8090018
  4. Thanks, I'm off work next week and i've got a load of jobs to do on the car. I'll try cleaning the tracks and if that doesn't work, i'll be in touch for some bulbs.
  5. Thanks, but i'm exceptionally paranoid about niggling little faults like this - it bugs me every time i get in the car. Expect a post soon titled 'Help, how do I get my dash back together'
  6. Does anyone know if the P-R-N-D-2-L lights in the speedo are bulbs or LEDs? If it is a bulb, what type? My 'D' light has stopped working but I dont want to rip the dash apart if I cant change a bulb. Thanks guys

    Hot wheels

Check out the wheels on the new Noble M14. How good would they look on a Supra? I want some and I want them now!!!

    kids!

I've got 2 kids (6 and 4) and they both sit in the back of mine on booster cushions, no probs. Be careful thouugh, both mine are now speed demons and its difficult to explain to a 4 year old that a policeman will take daddy away if he keeps doing 140mph. Married mens rule book: 1. Its easier to justify it after its on the drive than to persuade her before you get it!!!

    Auto box

Unless you're planning to spend a lot of time on a race track auto boxes are far better than manuals - they do everything for you. Just leave it in D for a while until you get used to how it responds to your driving, then you can start playing with the manual shift modes. Ifyou've never driven an auto before, it might be worth renting something from Hertz/Avis etc for the weekend to get used to an auto before unleashing the Supra.
  10. My kids are 4 and 6, and they sit in the back on booster cushions, using the standard seatbelts. Try Halfords for good advice on child seats
  11. So what, My last car was an A6 (not an RS tho) and NOBODY looks twice at it. Stick a private plate on the supra to hide the age, and everybody looks. You cant make like Vin Diesel in an Audi.
  12. Hi all, just picked up my new supra, J-spec GZ TT aero, black with veilside kit and a few engine tweeks, after running round in sensible cars since selling my mk III when the kids arrived. I will get some pictures up when I stop driving it for a second - 4 days old and i'm on my 3rd tank of fuel. lol. Just like to say hello to everyone, especially the Stourbridge boys and thanks to Jae at Sky insurance for quoting less than my old diesel Audi.
