  1. If you remove the airbag controller under the centre armrest, make sure you put plenty of insulating tape over the connectors on the end of the wiring loom, and cable tie them down out of the way somewhere.
  2. Me and Burna trial fitted the kit to his car Friday afternoon, and everything went well. Fits well and the reception is good. I'm sure Burna will post more details, and some of the photos we took early next week.
  3. If i'd just gone there alone for a dyno run, then i would completely agree with you, but in comparison to other supras on the day, i'm not so sure. For example; a completely stock uk spec (Burnas) made 320ish bhp, Petes decatted VVTi made 370 ish and bignums (before the single)uk spec BPU made 385ish. All on the same dyno with the same operator, within a few hours. Now i've never dyno'd mine before or since, so it might be over reading - but even if all the readings were 20bhp over, then billys motor is still making nearly 430 bhp at the fly so its one hell of a strong motor.
  4. I was at that dyno day, along with several other long time members on here, Pete, Burna, both of the Nums amongst others, and i have to say that imho the dyno was reading fairly well spot on for the cars that were there - there was probably 10 different supras dynoed that day and I would say that the readings were as close to accurate as you can get. If I had any comment, it would be that the boost reading on westons dyno was low, probably due to the length of the pipe connected to their pressure sensor. My run also showed 1.1 bar on their readings, but both my avcr and greddy boost gauge showed 1.2 on my run - my dyno sheet is in my garage.

  6. Gunk make a clear engine laquer which is temperature safe up to 250deg or so. I painted my power steering resevoir with it a couple of years ago and the finish is still perfect.
  7. I've been driving for years, I was just basing my figures for the cpc on what we have been told by our driving assessor at work. Little num is talking about the new driver cpc though. If you can do the cpc for £400+vat, then fair enough, but dont you still have to take driving lessons, then the cat c test, then more lessons, then take the c+e test later?
  8. Best price i have seen for it is around £1600 for a week long course for the cpc only. You also have to do an extended written driving test, and get a digital tacho card, before you can start it. They have also made the hgv driving test much harder starting from the 10th. Rough cost of going from a car licence to a class 1 is minimum £5000 and 2 years. You have to redo the cpc every 5 years, although most firms will pay for you to do it, 1 day per year. I get to start mine next month. How I have managed driving artics for the last 16 years without it is beyond me
  9. If its based on smartwindows, turn the ignition quickly on and off, the alarm will chirp once and autoclose will be disabled next time you arm it.
  10. Easily the second best TT aero on the forum:D Best of luck with the sale
  11. You can go to the west midlands "saftey" camera partenership website and contact them from there. They also publish before and after accident statistics for camera sites.
  12. Getting reverse on those boxes was always a nightmare, even when new. Slowing the change down helps. clutch..........slowly but firmly pull shifter back........... ease clutch up. They make a very distinctive sound when the shift is just right - you can usually learn to judge it just from the noise.
  13. Does it do it between any two specific gears or just on any downchange? Have you tried the gearbox reset procedure - something to do with the manual selector knob under the flap behind the main shift lever, but its been a long time since i've driven an eps1 'box i cant remember exactly what it is. I can have a word with our mechanics at work tonight.
  14. It switches the 2 auxilliary electric fans via 2 relays under the n/s headlight. There is also another one in the aircon circuit that does the same.
  15. I've got matt black on a black car. Pics in my garage. Only colour to have imho.
  16. For Sale: 1990 (H) Kawasaki GPZ 500S (A4) 28,200 miles Tax and MOT until end April 2010 50 + mpg and cheap insurance makes this an ideal commuter or first bike. Recently restored and repainted with many new parts: Repainted in pearlescent Tahiti blue with new graphics New front disc, pads, fluid and Goodridge braided brake line New fork seaks and oil New tinted screen and new seat cover New brake and clutch levers and switches New chain New fuel tap kit New coils, HT leads and spark plugs New oil pressure switch, fan switch and neutral switch Full engine service including new oil, oil and air filters and coolant. I did this bike as a project and intended to sell it as soon as it was finished, but it runs and rides so well, i've used it for commuting for the last 3 months because its much more practical than my Supra and GSX R, but i've got my eye on another project now so unfortunatly, this has to go. £795.00 offers by PM, or phone 07973 692955
  17. I saw that car at GVN while mine was being painted. Didn't look like 24k worth with the front end all smashed up. Strange it doesn't mention that in the ad.
  18. PMs sent. Still have a couple of sets available, PM me if anyone's interested.
  19. K series had a metal pipe that runs across the back of the block, under the inlet manifold, from the water pump. They were notorious for rusting through if there wasn't plenty of antifreeze in the system and are a right pig to get at and change.
  20. I just use my normal car satnav. I downloaded a set of bridge height alerts, which was useful in the double decker trailers (16' 3" high) but a right PITA most of the time cos the thing never shut up beeping at me. Unless you're planning to do multidrop round london, save your money and just use a normal one.
  21. Coaxials are best in the front, unless you want to make extra mounts/holes for the tweeters. I've posted the brackets for all those who have paid, they should be with you in the next few days. Only 7 sets remaining. PM me if you still want a set.
  22. Only the exhaust side is ceramic on J specs. Cold side is steel on UK and J specs.
  23. Just finished another batch of these and i've got 11 sets of these available now. PM me if you want a set.
  24. All being well, i'll make another batch of these 1st week June. I'll PM all those who have asked for a set when they are completed. If anyone else wants some, reply to this thread, or PM me.
  25. Get one of these from Halfords. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_216931_langId_-1_categoryId_165469 Work much better than the chisel type splitters - I've never split a rubber yet using one.
