  1. possibly blown the flasher relay. the alarm flashes them itself so doesn't use the stock flasher unit. not sure where it is on a sup but if theres anyone local to you try swapping it to find out. they shouldn't be too dear to replace
  2. Good to see you all again, and thanks Pete for organising it. Can we please arrange the next one when its a bit warmer.
  3. Aeros only come with an auto box. Sorry, doubt mine will be for sale either.
  4. I always pay by cheque if the item's worth more than about a tenner. That way you have the sellers home address before you send the money. Never had to pay anyone a visit yet.
  5. Windscreen sealant. Got mine from the local windscreen fitting centre, cost £10 for a big tube.
  6. I'm trying really hard to convince the missus that she wants some do-luck wheels........ Not having much luck so far
  7. These where on top gear a few weeks ago. They said about £200, but didnt specify size. They did a demo on some sort of TVR and they looked good.
  8. you need to turn it from full lock to full lock, slowly and preferably with the wheels in the air, about 8 - 10 times for it to fully bleed, keeping an eye on the fluid resevoir level while you're doing it.
  9. I stripped, cleaned and rebuilt mine in a day. Left them in the warm overnight for the sealer to set up, then put them back on the car next morning. Its an easy job once you get over sticking them in the oven.
  10. I've put vaseline where the roof rubber meets the windscreen seal but that hasn't fixed it. I think its leaking where the rubber seal meets the metal windscreen frame. Had a quick look on supraforums and they say a new seal is about $50 so that'll be about £4599.99 from Toyota over here then:complain: . I think i'll have a go with a tube of black silicon over the weekend if it stays dry. Why is it these things never leak when its not raining all the bloody time:stickpoke
  11. My roof's leaking at the front seal of the aerotop. I think where the rubber seal joins the top of the windscreen frame on the drivers side. The water is running down the inside of my A pillar trim and collecting in the bottom of my gauge pods. Can anyone recommend the best fix in order of easiness/cheapness. 1. without removing the rubber seal 2. remove and refurb the existing seal - how does it come off? 3. if it can't be done without a new rubber does anyone have the part no/epc diagram.
  12. Its held on with one bolt on a bracket on top of the radiator. Does anyone know how the upgraded panel filters in a stock airbox compare to the induction kits regarding filtration and performance increase (waits patiently for Chris Wilson's opinion on this)
  13. I got 2.5k for wiplash and a week off work last year, so you should get over 5k for your injuries.
  14. is the air con switched on, that can raise the tickover.
  15. Thats what it is supposed to do. The egt sensor in mine was installed by CW in the manifold and drops like a stone on the overrun, cos the engine is only flowing air, no fuel. About 400C difference between WOT and overrun.
  16. if they only replaced one side, you may be noticeing some movement in the bushes on the side they did not replace. Suspension components should ALWAYS be changed as pairs. You probably dont want to hear this after what you've just spent, but it might be worth replacing the other wishbone before you bother checking the geometry again.
  17. 1 bolt next to the bonnet catch, 2 down the side at the front of the wing, them pull it forward 6 inches. Put a rag on the bumper to stop it scratching.
  18. I always find it easier to remove the whole light than get the bulbs out with the light in situ there are four bolts sticking out the back of the light unit, two for fog and two for dipped beam. one is left/right, the other is up/down. turn them until the beam is in the right place. best line it up on a wall or garage door if you dont have access to a beam allignment tool.
  19. If there is air in the system you will hear it bubbling through the heater matrix as the engine warms up. If the rad cap doesn't fix it check the two hoses that run from the back of the engine into the heater matrix for leaks. A pinhole in one of them will drip onto the bellhousing and is almost impossible to see. I had to replace mine earlier this year. BTW is it just me, or does everyone hate those ridiculous spring loaded hose clips toyota use all over the engine.
  20. Its just started here. Think i'll not be taking the supe to work tonight.
  21. if you're loosing coolant from the engine, then it sucks it up out of the coolant bottle so the engine is always full (until the coolant bottle is empty). You might have a slight leak somewhere. I'd keep an eye on it for a while.
