  1. Cant beat a huge german sheperd for scaring away lowlife
  2. Dead easy. Remove the lower section of dash under the steering wheel and find the multiplug at the back of the ignition barrel. Unplug it and plug in the loom to the timer, then plug in the original plug into the other half of the timer loom. You then need to run a wire to the handbrake switch. Decide where to mount the unit - mine was on the steering column, but anywhere really. Thats it. Can be set to run the engine from 30 sec up to about 10 mins after you've removed the key (in 30 sec intervals) and also has a total enine run time counter - useful for servicing. Full instructions for use and fitting included from www.mkiv.com
  3. Still not been paid for this so its back up for sale again

    Friday joke

This guy walks into his bedroom with a sheep under his arm and says, "Darling, this is the pig I have sex with when you have a headache." His wife is lying in bed and replies, "I think you'll find that's a sheep, you idiot." The man says, "I think you'll find I wasn't talking to you."
  5. My previous car was insured by Esure, with protected no claims, and I was involved in an accident that was not my fault - someone crashed into the back of me while i was stationary at traffic lights - and they still put my premium up the next year cos i was in an accident. Needless to say i didn't stay with them for long.
  6. I think this demonstrats the lunacy of fixed speed limits and the current blitz on speeding (trying to make it as antisocial as drink driving as someone has said). The police say they aren't going to prosecute as the driver was well within the speed limit, but surely if he was travelling at 70mph on the same road , he would still have lost control, only now he would be facing multiple manslaughter charges.
  7. Saw this on the news, a tradgedy for all involved. Dont want to make political points, but if the road was slippy enough for the car driver to skid, then surely 50mph WAS excessive speed. Surely North Wales, home of the speeding mafia, must realise that if the road is icy then the speed should be (much) lower than, say, a warm dry summer day when the police are no doubt ernestly nicking people doing 63mph on the same road. I hope everyone on here realises that you can't go as fast when its icy as you can when its warm and dry and that one day the powers that be might understand that a fixed speed limit, whatever the conditions, may be easy to police and can raise a fortune in revenue from fines, but has just cost those cyclists their lives.

  9. http://www.dvla-som.co.uk/home/ prices from £250 inc transfer fee. Just type in what you want into the search box eg: sup. Remember you cant make a car appear newer than it is so nothing newer than 'M' on a 94 car

    95 aerotop

read the FAQ's fot TTs. Watch out for signs of the roof seals leaking on aerotops - damp carpets, watermarks on seat or carpet, badly misted windows etc. If the roof does leak its easy to fix, but the water damage is a PITA.

    alarm

I paid £350 for my cat1 clifford 650 last year, and another £200 for intellistart. reckon on another £150 - £200 for windows and boot. All fitted price obviously.

    95 aerotop

Thats incredibly cheap for a TT aero, whatever the colour, even at this time of year.
  13. As it says on the tin. Black with green display. It has the Supra ignition wiring loom. Installation and operating instructions are available on mkiv.com. Only got a photo of it on the dash at the moment, will take some more tomorrow. Looking for £45.00 inc p+p. PM me if you're intersted. First come first served, or it will go on Ebay next week.

    Baby Seats

Think you'll struggle with a seat if you still want front legroom. My kids are 6 and 4 and sit on booster cushions, but i still have to move the passenger seat forward for them to get in. You'll probably be better off getting a cheap second car IMHO. Getting a baby in and out of the back of a supra is a PITA - i had to sell my MK III for that reason.
  16. Not carbon, but those who have seen it will vouch for the quality and fit. Got it off Ebay from a seller called wooddashtrims in the states. http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZwooddashtrims
  17. If the temp in the car is well below 25, the flap will be fully open by the time you've turned the dial that far. With climate control the heaters work on a feedback system, not just hot/cold like a conventional heater. The small vent above the fag lighter sucks air from the cab and measures the temp. If its a long way below the set temp (which it will be in this weather) it opens the flap fully (and sets the fan to full) to pump maximum heat into the cab. As the cab warms up the flap slowly closes (and the fan slows down) to maintain the temp at what you've set it at.
  18. yeah, the very first lesbian couple to do this when the law changed (in northern ireland i think) was the same - one was very butch. I think our idea of real lesbians has been affected by too much looking at the "wrong sorts" of website:blush:
  19. Horror stories:no: :thumbdown I'm getting intellistart for my birthday in a few days time, should be ok in an auto though. The new Toyota Yaris has a start button which looks like if will suit the rest of the dash better than that red thing - looks similar to the heater buttons, with a green led in it.

    Back Seat

if you need to there are 4 bolts holding the carpeted hardboard back onto the seat, undo those and you can get to the linkage that moves the seat and release it

  22. do a search, theres a good thread, in faq i think, on how to change the solenoid. its an easy job
  23. My nephew's got that. I was going to pinch it, but it was a white one:whistle:
  24. Take out the rear seat (pulls out) and rear backrest (4 bolts), remove the side trim panel (loads of screws, some under the speaker grill, and clips)then you will see the seatbelt reel. There's a electrical connection and 2 or 3 bolts. Remove the trim piece from the top mount, then 1 bolt, and another bolt from the bottom mount. Dont let the reel retract all the way or you'll have trouble getting it out again. Refitting is a reversal of the removal procedure.
