I made a custom box for mine, but the spare wheel had to go. The Sub(s) have got to be in the centre really with an aerotop cos the roof comes fight down to the boot floor at the sides.

Not so. Standard equipment in j-spec GZ models. Haven't got any pics cos its been in the bin for the last six months.

There are several different types (at least 6, maybe more) Some have bulb holders which take standard capless bulbs, some are 1 piece jobbies that are only available from toyota. There are also some LEDs in the heater control unit.

Not quite true, some have the rectangular hole for the stock sub in them and some dont.

the stock trac switch is just a push release switch with two wires (the other 2 are for the backlight) Dont know for sure, but you could try just shorting the two wires together. Similar effect to keeping the switch pushed in all the time. Might be worth a try to see what happens.

Might be worth a strip down anyway. Have a look at the pads and if they're ok give the whole lot a good clean, new copperslip on the back of the pads and a bit of lube on the slides and pistons. Road salt plays havoc with brakes.

If the wheels are the same size, you can rotate them, but chances are you have directional tyres so they MUST stay on the same side of the car.

This is probably a real idiot question, but on the do luck website they say the wheels are available in high or low disk versions. Whats the difference? Does anyone have pictures of the two sorts (fitted to a supra preferably). Traders: feel free to send me prices (9.0" front &10.5" rears) as i'm thinking of getting a set in a few months when the tyres on my existing rims are worn out.

Have you got a switch on your bonnet for the alarm? I would think that that would be more likley than the boot as the bonnet tends to lift at speed but the boot would be pushed more shut.

I,ve got a clifford remote boot release solenoid and thats pretty hefty, i'm sure it would be up to the job of opening the door as well.

Got mine from B&Q, can use it a a little blowtorch as well which is useful for heatshrink etc.

Airbag light triggers if you switch on the ignition with the top section of dash unplugged. Next time you have to take the dash out, leave the top section plugged in and use a bit of masking tape to hold it up out of the way.

Should be very light contact between pads and disks even when the brakes are off. If you feel any resistance when turning the wheel, check the dust seals on the pistons. If they are damaged, there might be a bit of corrosion between the dust seal and the pistion seal. You will need a caliper refurb kit available from toyota. Not too expensive and includes new dust seals, caliper seals, slider dust covers (for j-specs) and even a little packet of rubber grease. Stripping the calipers is a fairly easy job - should take about 1 hour for each caliper - and you can do a brake fluid change while you're at it. If you're anywhere near the midlands, i'd be happy to give you a hand.

Stuff practicality, if i could afford to do this I'd get a Diablo (think they still fall within the 2 year rule) and buy new clothes on the way.

7M-GTE / GE was the mk III engine. I've heard of a 1JZ, but i dont know what it was fitted in.
