  1. For the dash backlighting bulbs i used standard 3mm LEDs soldered directly to the circuit board. Try and get 50 degree leds or you will have uneven light spread on the dials.
  2. Unless you know the history of the car/ previous owner, its always worth budgeting a few hundred quid for servicing/parts.
  3. Check your bank statements http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-2170126,00.html
  4. Autoglym tar and sticky stuff remover. Got mine from halfords. it doesn't damage paintwork, but i'd rcommend a touch of wax polish after you've removed the goo.
  5. I had my roof off yesterday as well, had a look and the turbos are still there:p
  6. Theres no reason why you couldn't do this. Just by the time you've got the right size discs on there and some custom caliper hangers, its probably cheaper to buy uk rears.
  7. Make sure your wheels will clear the uk spec calipers as well or it could turn out to be a very expensive weekend.
  8. Dad, grandad, both mechanics, i've spent my whole life in and around cars. The supra's all mine though, if i'd followed my dad, i'd be posting this on the jag or lotus forum.
  9. This only applies to unsecured debts, personal loans and credit cards and the like. If you can prove to the loan company that you have no means to pay your debt, they can, at their discretion, write off some or all of the debt. eg you have a £10,000 loan and £10,000 on credit cards. The debt management company contacts your lenders and says you cant pay, but will make a payment of £1,000 off each on your behalf now if the lender will write off the remaining balance. If the lender agrees you pay the debt management company £2,000 + a huge fee + interest over about 20 years. Option 2: phone up the lenders yourself and as long as you can make small regular payments they have to accept and drop the interest to almost nothing (0% in some cases) while you pay off the balance in full. The only downside is you will find it very difficult if not impossible to get any more credit for the duration of paying off the debt + 5 years. If you try this approach with secured loans (mortgage) they will repossess your house. Not paying council tax or water rates can result in jail time Not paying gas or electric will mean you get a prepayment meter and be charged double the usual price for the supply
  10. Look at the back of it when clarkson drives up the ramp from the eurostar. Remind you of anything...
  11. Best place to fit it is in the header to the front exhaust (no1 i think) Guide: 1. take it to Chris Wilson. He can do this in about an hour.
  12. Remember Gordon Brown has another tax raid (raise) scheduled for september which he will almost certainly put off if it would push the price of regular unleaded over£1.00/litre. Political suicide for someone who wants to be prime minister. Keep 95ron at around 94 -95 pence/litre for a few months and we'll be better off in the long run.
  13. Its a general warning light, could be anything, but first check your brake fluid, then check the engine for fault codes
  14. Anyone want to challenge me to a steak race
  15. Have you got the part numbers for the plugs, and how much were they? that looks like a job i need to do.
  16. My Miami GT rad pipe was exactly the same when i bought it from new. Gave it a good clean and flush before i fitted it.
  17. Hands off, i saw her first, http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=759758#post759758 . Even had the highest score for a while.
  18. I've been using it in my TT since Ultimate/Optimax went over £1.00/litre last year. Haven't had any problems with it.
  19. I've got an exel file that tells you all that stuff if you type in the vin details. Pretty sure i downloaded it from here. PM me your email address and i'll forward it on to you.
  20. Theres also one on the back of the heater control box as well.
  21. Ernie (the fastest milkman in the west) - Benny Hill. what do i win?
  22. I thought the same a few years ago and stopped paying for breakdown cover. Dont need to tell you what happened next, but the cost of a tow off the motorway is dearer than 5 years worth of AA cover.
  23. I would guess at an old cd multichanger. the larger round wire appears to be 8 or 9 core.
