  1. Should the day come:eek::eek:that i have to sell mine it will be advertised as 'unique'
  2. Have a look at this thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=85633 Its been exactly a month since i sent off my faulty ballast to China by signed for airmail, and i'm still waiting for a replacement. If it doesn't arrive in the post today, i'll email him again and probably report him to trading standards as well. Pretty sure the warranty is with the seller, not the manufacturer so he should supply me with a new ballast from his stock and send the old one to china himself. not sure if it is vision bulbs or not, the contact email for the group buy was [email protected]
  3. Just find which of the 3 wires going into the 3 pin plug is the fog light +ve supply, and cut it and connect it to the +ve feed of the ballasts, then connect the ballast -ve to a chassis earth point. I drilled out the 2 wires that run through the black plastic cover on the back of the foglight and fed the HID wires through the hole, then resealed it with silicon. If I ever get my ballast back from the supplier of the rubbish HID group buy, i've just got to plug it back in.
  4. H3 bulbs. Its not as straightforward as the dip beams though, you have to modify the plastic covers on the back and reseal them, or the lights will mist up
  5. Excellent, not heard that track for ages More Art of Noise classics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHL8KXVHTcc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-ZZqTAFevI
  6. Caliper rebuild kits are around £30 from Mr T (front or rear, uk or J-spec) and contain all new seals, grease, dust covers and even a new bleed nipple cover. Stripping down and refurbing a caliper is a fairly easy job and might be cheaper than buying new/second hand calipers.
  7. Think its about the 50th time this engine has appeared, with the same writing on the cam belt cover, and always with a 0 feedback seller. ITS A SCAM. I've got sick of reporting it to ebay
  8. Think it'd be more unique if you left them green:p
  9. Find some roadworks, ie. contraflow with a temp road surface that you drive on (raised manholes etc), and claim against the contractors. They have an obligation to make sure the road is safe to drive on. Contact the council first and let them know about the situation and they'll give you all the details you need on how to claim. The council don't care cos it's not their money and the contractors have insurance. I got a new exhaust for my mk iii like this:d
  10. 90197-10070 For a J spec TT 3 required
  11. Have a look in my garage, the pic without the 2 girls is how it is set at the moment. Yep, changed user name from Trick152 to TrickTT. Drop me a PM if you still want those bits doing.
  12. The brake discs are only secured to the hubs by the wheel nuts and (usually) rust. If you've got newish rotors they can move back and forward slightly against the wheel studs as you go back and forwards causing a clonking noise. Nothing to worry about.
  13. Make sure you also order new nuts with them as chances are you'll have to grind the old ones off. 90179-10054 (2 req'd for each corner)
  14. Mine haven't settled since i put them on about 6 weeks ago, but unless you're driving round on a full set of spacesavers, you'll get serious rubbing issues. I had to set the collar about 30mm up the threaded adjuster to get enough clearance, and i'm thinking about raising it a touch more cos it still catches a bit when the damping is set on soft.
  15. You should get it degassed at a proper facility where they collect the gas, but (ahem) just unscrew the grey plastic cap on the aircon pipe with the 'L' on it and press the valve with the end of a screwdriver and the gas will come out.
  16. Still waiting for mine to turn up, any sigh of your yet Darragh? Pete, if you read this, any chance you could get in touch with the guy and tell him his customer service sucks
  17. Put a spanner on the bolt in the middle of the tensioner pulley, 14mm i think, and release the tension on the belt. While holding the tensioner away from the belt, remove it from the pulleys, then feed it out past the fan. Make sure you note which way it runs, although tbh the new one will only fit one way. Refitting is a removal of the removal procedure. Its a 10 minute job
  18. I've got one off a 55,00 mile car. Bit of paint peeling off, but the rubber looks ok. £80 inc p+p
  19. Have a look at this thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=76414&highlight=midlands+rolling+road Think these figures are about as accurate as you'll get on a RR dyno, there was 2 stock cars, 1 uk and 1 jap which both made just over 300bhp, a couple of bpu which made around 350 - 380 and mine which is really bpu+ made 418. The two cars with hybrids made 440-450bhp
  20. Get a new rectangular plate made up thats 6.5 inches tall.
  21. Sounds like the roll bar drop links to me. They have ball joints at each end which are prone to wear. They are not expensive, but can be a bitch to get the old ones off.

  23. Changed my user name from Trick152 to TrickTT. Thanks Mawby, if i'd realised it was your birthday, i'd have left it untill after the weekend.
  24. Had exactly the same problem. He gave me an address in China to send the ballast back to. Its only been 10 days for me yet so i'm going to give him a bit more time, then give them a huge round of F***s until i get a replacement. Must admit, i thought it was a bit iffy, he's supposed to be uk based
  25. Get some new seals. Not sure how much door seals are from mr T, but I just got a front aerotop seal for £68 so i shouldn't think they are too dear.
