  1. I'm always looking out for hot girls in any type of car. You should take a trip up to the midlands
  2. Cool, I think i'll have to take a ride up there and have a look.
  3. Just recieved my replacement ballast in the post this morning. He says he never recieved my faulty one, but i emailed him a copy of the proof of postage so he sent me one free of charge. Top bloke Thanks to you as well Pete:notworthy Just got to chase the Royal mail now.
  4. Do you park it facing downhill? Sounds daft, but mine used to collect water in the channels either side if the tailgate, right level with the bottom of the rear screen and it misted up quite badly. Solved the problem by reversing into the space instead, allowing all the water to drain out.
  5. Was and still is Tom and Jerry, the original Fred Quimby produced ones. Consindering these were made in the 1920s and '30s the aminmation is as good as anything today and you really cant beat simple mindless violence.
  6. The low bit is not long enough to reach under side skirts to the chassis rail. I've got a similar one and i still need to drive up onto blocks of wood to jack the car up. Other than that, its a good quality jack.
  7. I don't get it at all, mine's a daily driver and i cant wait to get in it. Love taking it for a blast, and even the 1.2 mile trip to work is worthwhile in it. If you don't want to get a 2nd car, borrow somthing dull off family/friends for 1/2 hour and see how many miles up the road you get before you wish you were back in the supe again.
  8. In theory its easy to fit, only about a dozen wires, but in practice, unless you get a fields harness, its half a day upside down in the passenger footwell wishing you were the same size as a 2 year old.
  9. Ask sky for 'like-for-like' cover. you'll have to send them a full list of mods and photos of your car.
  10. 10mm copper pipe and compression fittings, available from B&Q or any plumbing shop are ideal for moving/extending tranny cooler pipes

    New Keys

Get a bling one off ebay
  12. Have you got a restrictor ring in the exhaust? AVCR will overboostwithout one on j-spec tubbies
  13. You can refurb the calipers without splitting them as well. As Rob said you should never split them. Simonas, if you read this, keep a very close watch on the caliper you split in half for fluid leaks for a few weeks.
  14. NIce one Jezz. I'm just going to bed now, but i'll give you a ring about 3ish
  15. Also had a reply i'll give him a couple more days Thanks Pete

    Weight

A j-spec GZ TT is quoted as 1510kg, but i dont know if thats wet or dry weight or what options were fitted, 4 pot brakes are much heavier than 2 pot, 16 or 17" wheels etc. I'd assume 1500-1600 kg, or get down to your local weighbridge.
  17. I assume you've got the bigger 4 piston brakes. The 2 halfs of the caliper are held together by 4 big bolts that screw in from the back. Are these the ones you unbolted to remove the pads? The pads are held in by 2 small pins that pull out from the front of the caliper. Once the pins are removed the pads pull out through the hole in the side of the caliper, away from the hub.
  18. Think it was called 'Vertex' on the box. the one foglight that works seems to be good. Group buy price was £100
  19. I probably shouldn't but: Seriously, get the car towed to a garage and have a professional do the rest. Don't mess around with brakes when you clearly have no idea what you are doing.
  20. Sorry Pete, not implying the group buy was rubbish, just the seller. He was quick to respond when i first contacted him and seemed legit, although sending the faulty part to china seemed a bit odd. I just think he could deal with warranty claims a bit quicker, answer his emails and send stuff airmail by return. If its coming surface post from china it could still be here in a few weeks.
