  1. mine had the floor lights and the led strips on the back of the door although i've upgraded both of them now.
  2. Well i'm supposed to be driing up the M1 to leeds tonight. Looks like i'll be taking the scenic M6 - M62 route. I went up last night and all you could see from the M1 bridge over medowhall was water and turds from the sewerage plant.
  3. Depends on the insurance company. I had a non fault accident before i had the supe, and e-sure bumped the price up by £50, despite me having protected no claims, but direct line said no fault accidents made no difference to the price. As usual, it pays to phone around.
  4. Apart from the rear wing which looks nearly as sh1te as the TRD wing, an original veilside C1 kit looks ace on a supra. I know the kit is 10 years old, Homer, but since my supe is 14 in a few weeks time i dont care:p Its only copied cos its so good - there's a good reason they dont make bomex noses for everything:eyebrows: ps. thanks for calling me one of the younger members - doesn't happen much at 35:innocent:
  5. 2nd dibbs on the catch can, pm your paypal addy:D
  6. The second butterfly in the throttle body, which also does the traction control, closes during autobox gearchanges to take the load off the gearbox, and the ecu acts the same way as it would if you lift off the throttle - ie knocks off the fuel for the duration of the change. Thats why its not a good idea to remove the stock TC on an auto.
  7. Anything that lights up will do, as long as its visible from the drivers seat.
  8. If its only happening above 4K rpm it must be second turbo related. I'd start by checking the 2 concertina hoses that run parallel with the camshaft cover.

    Petrol smell

It sounds like the fuel is running out of a split pipe and down the tank, then dripping out of the vent. Heres a screenshot of the uk spec fuel system from the epc. The bit in the red circle is hidden above the fuel tank and rear suspension. I would bet one of those lines has corroded and split. You can either get a new fuel line ready made from toyota that runs the full length of the car, or most garages should be able to just get a repair section made up to replace the damaged bit. Its impossible to say which one has gone, without dropping the fuel tank a bit.

Are you sure? The fuel tank is plastic with a metal sheild and are not known for splitting unless you hit something v. hard. The metal fuel lines run over between the top of the tank and the underside of the body and I know of at least 1 uk spec thats had a corroded fuel line start leaking there.
  11. I took mine from the switched feed to the aircon fan relays which are under the n/s headlight.
  12. I used to say charcoal, but I'm a gas convert now
  13. Mine hasn't cut out for some time now, so this might be a bit out of date, but there are no fault codes on the ECU. I'm fairly sure i've had cutouts above 1000rpm, but its always been less than 2000 rpm. When it first started happening, i wondered if it might be noise from the abs sensors causing the problem, so I changed the smoothing from 0 back to 1. This considerably improved it, but didn't completely cure it. My rpm limit is set to 2200. Finally, my clifford intellistart is connected to the same ecu source as the racelogic.
  14. That would be great Ian, i'll have a look when i get back from work in the morning.
  15. I agree with both of you on this. When it first started happening on mine after I fitted the RLTC i did some research and tweeked some settings and like i said earlier, it does it very rarely now. I set Gregs up exactly the same as mine (except for the wheel sizes) yet his seems to do it more often (We've both got the digital adjuster). There is definatly no problem with the installation on mine, and although Gregs ECU loom looks like someone vomited a load of scotchlocks into the footwell, CW did the RLTC installation and that looks good to me - although i did change the inline fuse for a decent blade type fuse holder. Any chance you could email me your DAT file Ian, so I can see how yours differs from mine.
  16. Got to be worth a try at that price:) . PM on the way for delivery costs.
  17. My brake pads are getting close to needing replacing. I've got uk brakes with 3G grooved front and stock rear discs with braided lines and Motul fluid. I have got CW fast road pads in at the moment and i've been quite impressed by them. I've had a search and discounted most types on pad based on performance/dust/life/noise/cost etc and I cant decide between another set of CW fast road, or TRD ones. Anyone got some opinions please:)
  18. Mine still does it very occasionally - like 3 times so far this year - totally different driving conditions each time. I am still sure it is a glitch in the RLTC that is causing it. TBH i just live with it as until it starts to happen more often and be repeatable it's impossible to be able to diagnose it.
  19. Sticky thermostat. I'd get it changed asap.
  20. I've got those too, work fine, hot or cold and the fire blanket is still in place. I'd send yours back.
  21. Not sure if anyone's mentiond it yet Greg, but i'd get a Mondeo ST24. Ultimate sleeper car. Nearly as fast as an NA and full of toys. They drink less fuel than yours, easy to service and fix and handle real well. You can pick one up for less than £1000 these days.
