  1. They do dump on WOT when the sub throttle plate closes on upchanges. Dont do it on part throttle though.
  2. If you've got an auto, it will come out if you line it up just right, with a manual,I have never managed to get one past the clutch slave cylinder yet. If you're replacing the solenoid contacts, just rest it on the subframe and do it there, its a fairly straightforward job.
  3. Boostlogic made 113dB at 3k rpm on mine. I started it up in the car park the other day and set 3 car alarms off:D
  4. RIP Rik Deepest sympathies to all his family and friends
  5. VW have a production twin charged engine in the golf GT TSi.
  6. The battery/alternator light is red and under the odo. There are only 3 yellow lights on the right hand side: oil level (an oil can with wavy lines) engine management (looks like an engine) and ABS (the word ABS). It was probably the engine light that came on and like Ian said you need to check your fault codes, but my guess would be "42" which is speed sensor and can also show with a dodgy speedo converter.
  7. When you make a tight U- turn, all 4 wheels turn at different speeds/travel different distances. Fastest>> outside front >>outside rear >>inside front>> inside rear>>slowest. RLTC picks up the wheel speeds from the abs sensors and works it out. Dead simple really.
  8. Probably, theres a gap in the handbrake assembly that allows you to get the stud right through to the backplate of the drum, from memory, its at about 2 -3 oclock as you look at the hub. Just rotate the hub round to the right place as you fit each stud.
  9. You will definatly need to get your arches rolled with a 295 tyre. Any bigger than that and you will need a widearch kit or the suspension from a Landcruiser.
  10. If its not the fuse, the next likley suspect is the dimmer knob. There is a thread on here somewhere about how to bypass the dimmer.
  11. The recommended supra fitment is 9" et+35 on the front with 245/40/18 and 10.5 et+44 on the rear with either 275/35/18 (what i've got), or 285/30/18. Pics in my garage. Edit: on uk spec brakes
  12. If there's enough interest, i'll be doing another group buy on these after JAE
  13. Screw insensitive. If they've got no insurance then tough. What if everyone else decided to cancel their insurance on the grounds that the government will pay out anyway. I'm fed up with bleeding heart liberals crying that insurance is too dear for the chavs to afford if they live in areas liable to flood. If you live in an area liable to flooding then your insurance will be expensive in much the same way as if you drive a Ferrari, your car insurance will be dear.
  14. Try these from Demon tweeks: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=A/ESS1M
  15. I'll have 10 (2 x 5l) litres of Silkolene PRO S 10w-50, £59.98 please. Just re read the date on this thread:rolleyes: guess i'm too late:rlol: Never mind
  16. No experience of their work either, but we had a dyno day there last year, and they seemed to know what they are doing, drop Dragonlady a pm, i think she had some work done there.

    Road rage

Carrying weapons in your car is a very bad idea if you get stopped by the old bill. Thats why i make sure my 6 D cell maglite is always behind the seat - cos its a torch innit officer. Being 6'1" and 18 stone helps too:innocent:.
