  1. Perhaps its attached with a wood screw
  2. Its the metal bit with the hole in at the end of the brake line, that bolts onto the caliper with the hollow bolt - dont know why its called a banjo - except it looks a bit like one - maybe - from a long way away.
  3. Just standard 3mm blue leds from ebay although maplin sell them as well. You will need a resistor with each led.
  4. I replaced mine with leds. Just solder them to the back of the little circuit board - make sure they are the right way round though.
  5. Unbolt the caliper from the hanger and take out the pads. Get an assistant to slowly pump the brake pedal ( make sure the resevoir is full) while you hold the caliper, and you will see the piston start to come out. When it gets most of the way out, you can remove the brake line and either poll it the last bit with some grips, or blow it out with compressed air. If you've still got rubber hoses you can clamp them with a wad of rag and mole grips, but the best solution is to use a nut and bolt through the banjo and the copper washers from the old fitting. You will need to replace the washers - i think they are included in the toyota refurb kit.
  6. A ring of surface corrosion builds up on the caliper between the piston seal and dust cover. Once it starts the only way to cure it is to strip the caliper and clean it up carefully with wet dry paper (800 grit and make sure you dont score inside the seal) or a new caliper.
  7. They're only just over £100 new from Toyota.
  8. I've had permission from the missus, so all weekend it is:d. I'll be running if the rain stops long enough to get a service done next week. 1. Rays the roof (Sat & Sun) CAMPING!! 2. Broomie & Amy (Sat & Sun) Camping! 3. letmeshowyou (Sat & Sun) Camping 4. TrickTT (sat & sun) camping
  9. I dont have msn or myspace or facebook (or any freinds:cry:), but didn't some bint get thrown out of uni recently cos she posted up some pics on facebook and the university hacked the account.
  10. If you dont go, you'll look like me in a few years:scared: Thats enough motivation for the next six months, the bill is in the post
  11. Bolt holes are in the right place, but they are too small - 7.5J f & r from memory
  12. What a great weekend:D I had to leave at about two on sunday as my feet had stopped working, then I slept for 14 hours straight yesterday. Huge thanks to all the mods, helpers and especially Tom and the megaphone - wouldn't be the same without you Although i'm still secretly annoyed that one of the club trophies wasnt for "car most in need of a respray" which I would have won by miles, it was a brilliant weekend.
  13. My ebay hids have been fine for over 12 months now.
  14. Linda, Drop me a PM, i'll do it for you, no charge, if you can get over to Halesowen later.
  15. Didn't think you could get red ones, only pink:p Seriously though, they dont make any difference over good stock earth points, but they look bling and won't do any harm.
  16. They are promo things to scare the owners of fast cars/bikes. Who remembers the "police spec" lotus esprit and lamborghini diablo that did the rounds a few years ago.
  17. Re check all the bulbs, as it will show up a fault if a bulb has been put in the wrong way round. Also what sort of fog light do you have as a bad foglight conversion will cause the bulb failure to trip. Failing that, its probably the bulb failure ecu itself, which is mounted in the n/s rear wing near the courtesy light in the boot.
  18. Gradually increase the load/revs on the engine as you clock up the miles. Sitting at 3000rpm on the motorway for 500 miles will not properly run the engine in. Better to do A-road start stop driving, while gradually increasing the load/throttle you use when accelerating. Then, as you get over 500 miles or so slowly increase the rpm limit up to 4000, then 5000rpm, and by the time you get to 8 - 900 miles you can use full boost/throttle.
  19. Ebay are complete to$$ers when it comes to feedback. They absolutely will not remove feedback, however libelous and unjustified it is, and although you can sue the guy for libel its probably not worth it. Even if you agree to withdraw the feedback, it only gets rid of the red mark in your score, the comments stay in the list. Best thing to do is to reply to the feedback before you withdraw it - then set up several fake accounts (preferably from several ip addresses and screw up any future sales the guy trys to make.

    Had accident!!!

All those photos prove is that the parked cars were well away from the double yellow lines round the junction, you had a clear view of the road and that you still pulled out in front of a car that had right of way. It doesn't matter how fast he was going. Sorry to say it but totally your fault imho.

    Door speakers

Hi and welcome. Theres a few members round here, keep an eye out for local meets. I'm just up the road in Halesowen. The stock door speakers are rubbish little 4" jobs, if you want to change them for decent components, have a look at the speaker bracket group buy i'm doing [thread=117390] LINK. [/thread] Give me a shout if you need any help with the doorcards.
  23. New thread in the group buy section soon for these.
  24. I got mine from these guys: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/VALETERS-PRIDE
