  1. So you sneaked up the inside of an artic on an island. Not very clever was it. If he was turning he probably coudn't see you in his mirror. Did you not consider that a 50ft long 8 1/2 ft wide vehicle that bends in the middle might need more room to turn that a little car. Hope the 4 seconds you saved was worth it.
  2. The little rubber washer bits are seperate from the bolts. The part no for the washer is 90210-07001 ( x 16 ) The bolts can be reused, but if you replace them you need 90105-06166 ( x 12 ) and 90179-06288 ( x 4 )

    ecu plug !!

Thats not a standard uk or j-spec supra ecu loom - unless its a vvti maybe
  4. Fog lights and dipped beam both use 55w bulbs so there is no difference in brightness. The dipped beam projector lens is bigger and has a different shaped mask to produce the angled cut off beam pattern. It would be difficult to modify the fog light unit to produce this pattern as the projectors are sealed units. Just switch them both on together if you must.
  5. You know there is no such thing as a TT6 aerotop as standard. There are only a few in the country and they are conversions. You'll only get an auto for that money and not a very good one at that.
  6. Get some Hawk Brembo spec from Dusty at MVP. They are brilliant pads.
  7. I have one still available either fitted (click the link in my sig) or £125 delivered.
  8. You need to apply copper grease to the back of the pads, and if you have j-spec brakes, grease the slider pins.
  9. Just a bit:p The link that Colin posted is a good guide, but i would add to that to apply and release the brake pedal quite slowly.
  10. If this is insulting your intelligence, i apologise, but did you retighten the bleed nipple each time your mate released the brake pedal?
  11. That is the auxillary belt tensioner. Not sure how much they are, but very easy to change. I'd do your belt at the same time.
  12. Ha. I pulled an 8ft concrete gate post out using exactly that method with my mk iii. Took 4 people to lift it into the back of a van later.

    relays

You should be able to get them at motor spares shops. Make sure you get the one with 5 pins.
  14. I'm looking for the "YOU HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT" smiley. Once you get used to it, i find an auto is much easier to put on ramps etc - just use your left foot to brake.
  15. I have only ever made them in bulk, for group buys, because it takes far too long setting up tooling just for 1 pair.
  16. I might be interested in one of these as well, can you get the plastic collar that sits at the bottom of the leather part as well?
  17. Why is it only for non aerotops? I want one for my aerotop:protest: I've emailed him to see if they come in other colours - my car's black so i need a mirror glass one.
  18. Could you not get a small spacer plate made up to lift the turbo up a bit. Of course it might not clear the bonnet then.
  19. Take the roof lining off the aerotop section ( it just unclips - with care) and tighten up all the bolts inside that hold the roof structure together. That should cure most of the rattles, and if you want a 110% job, replace the front and rear rubber roof seal strips.
  20. Depends on what type of oil you are using, but on silkolene 10w/50 mine runs cold start 75 - 80psi hot tickover 20 - 25psi normal driving 50 - 60psi WOT 100psi If you use thinner oil, the figures will be a bit lower. My sensor is in a lexus bolt mod and i've had to convert from bar to psi so only approximate figures
  21. Sumo started up a post about catch cans recently, might be worth getting in touch to see if they'll do a group discount. edit: Here it is [thread=108130]catch can thread[/thread]
  22. All mkiv's use r134 gas so kwik fit are talking bo££ocks. Only a few cars still use r12. Any aircon "expert" should at least have access to the guide book that lists the gas type and weight for all models. I'd just go to Ibrar anyway.
  23. 1.2 bar I have got a 0.9 bar setting programmed into the boost controller, but i never use it - I dont put my foot down so far if i dont want to go quick:)
