  1. There are lots of strengthening brackets in an aerotop that you dont find in a hard top, but nothing where you are describing. Need pics.
  2. I seriously looked into this as a business some years ago and came to the conclusion its just not viable unless you've got at least 10 top end cars. Insurance is huge, servicing costs are the same and if your mate wants to drive it inbetween crash repairs he'll only see it on cold winter weekdays. He will lose loads on depreciation and by the time he's paid bank and credit card merchant fees, which he will need for insurance deposits, he'll struggle to afford to run a bus pass.
  3. Thanks for all the kind words guys:thumbs: I bet you're glad its done, they'll be able to get moving with yours now. You made the right choice of bodyshop mate, the standard of work is amazing. They are Do Luck double six chrome, 18 x 9 and 18 x 10.5 Its vulgar to talk about money:innocent:, but LOTS and worth every penny:D
  4. Finally picked my car up from GVN today after a slight delay over christmas. I'm really happy with the way it turned out:d. I've kept my veilside front and sideskirts (with different mesh) and had a new Trial rear and facelift headlights. The colour is Suzuki pearl black, with matt black on the Trial diffuser. Photos really do not do the paint justice, just wait until you see it in the metal on a sunny day:cool:. I think thats conclusive proof that veilside can look good if done properly:p :thanks:I'd like to say a huge thank you to Mario and Gerald at GVN Coachworks, who did most of the work, and also thanks to Knight Racer and Supradibbs for the Trial rear:thumbs:
  5. You can get a recirculating kit for some of the aftermarket BOV's. Gets rid of the stalling problem, but also means you loose that nice chav sound:D

    lets be honest

Veilside is the best kit out there (apart from the big wing) and I will prove it to you all on Wednesday;)
  7. I do most of my driving in a truck, at night, which is limited to 55mph. You would be amazed at how many cars I undertake because they are sitting in a dreamworld at 50 in the middle lane. When i first go past them, some speed up and pull away, but they never pull into the inside and you can bet i'll catch them up again in a couple of miles.
  8. The supra doesn't have a pollen filter. As for misting up on the windows, water is getting into the car somewhere. Could be anywhere really, but door and window seals are a good place to start checking, along with the tailgate seal.
  9. Spotted at about 1.00 today opposite savacentre, standard apart from the wheels and a big red HKS decal on the door.
  10. They are 73 pence new from Toyota, part number is 85245-20020
  11. Seems that you share a birthday with my eldest so I probably wont be able to make this. Sorry mate:( I'll leave instructions with Burna to hassle you about the ring trip:D
  12. Boost gauge, i would say is essential, then EGT or AFR are useful. Anything else is optional bling really.
  13. I agree with CW, get a stock one for a road car. A new pulley is around £200 from Toyota if you get a discount and the cam belt and aux belt are around £35 each. Its not a difficult job to do, so no more than a few hrs labour and any competent mechanic should be able to do it.
  14. Just browsing on ebay and found this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REAL-Performance-Chip-TOYOTA-CAMRY-CELICA-SUPRA-30-BHP_W0QQitemZ350004079776QQihZ022QQcategoryZ32094QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Seems people are getting wise to the old +20bhp resistor so this guy has cut up some old radios and stuck a bit of circuit board into a box:D. Look closely at the wire where i've circled it in red and its just connected to the old resistor, the circuit board isn't attached to anything:d. ITS STILL A CON AND IT WONT WORK Got to admire the guy for trying, and he's trebled the price too.
  15. There was still a few there at that time. Its a tradition that almost no-one goes to the midlands xmas meet in their supras. You should have looked out for Fiats, Hondas, Fords and Rovers. Great do though, glad to see everyone and a happy xmas to all.
  16. Thats crazy. I'd had a really good evening, and i'm glad i left early cos even though i was driving and had been drinking coke all day, that sort of bulls**t really gets on my nerves.Last time we ever go there then.
  17. So you should be paying me each month for my GZ aero auto then:D I'm very old:p , but mine still makes more power than yours until you get that single bolted on:D
  18. :nooo:Saw it on the TV the other day. HATE IT BIG TIME!!! Filthy cheap grubby money grabbing commercialism messing with a classic:thumbdown:
  19. Once you've moved the inlet manifold, you need to take an angle grinder to the distributor and fit coil-over-plug ignition.
  20. Wasn't refering to anyone in particular, and its a valid question that affects everyone on the forum. I was thinking more about 'no other vehicle involved' spins and skids etc that seem very common this year. Nice to know you were thinking about me though:hug: Also, does anyone know (Sky?) if they group all supras together in accident stats, or do they break it down by model RZ, GZ etc
  21. It seems like every day there is another "I've crashed my supra" thread:(. This year seems unusually bad for it. Of course it is bad news both for the club and for the members involved - at least nobody has been badly hurt. Thing is, insurance premiums are at least partly based on crash statistics for the make and model of car, so does this mean everbodys insurance is going to go through the roof next year:eek: Take it easy out there guys.
  22. Sounds a good idea, but the other reason for decatting is to reduce exhaust gas temperatures. It would be interesting to see how your sports cat compares to a normal decat + RR.
  23. Get in touch with oilman on the forum and use the best/most expensive oil you can afford - its always cheaper than a new engine:D
