  1. Oil almost back to an all-time high, 4p a litre on most fuel near me in the last few days, the market is believing that idiot Bush is going to do Iran !
  2. Is Tomtom Navigator 5 the same as Tomtom Mobile 5 ? If it is here`s a a URL for an active torrent to d/l for people wishing to use the evaluation copy. URL is http://tr.searching.com/view.php?id=5145675
  3. First bit of positivity Ark where can I buy these strut braces from ? Thanks in Advance, I know an Aerotop will never be as rigid as a coupe but it does have ONE big advantage for that odd one summer day !
  4. I had Bridgestone tyres on my last car and was happy, is anybody using Bridgestone RE050 ? Typical Mileage for REARS ? Happy in the wet/cold ? Value for Money ? Anything Else ? Thanks Milocoon
  5. On Ebay you can get these for less than £100 but reading the feedback someone mentioned it was a waste of money ? I`ve an Aerotop so I do get scuttle shake on the rare day I go topless, would a Cusco Front and Rear improve things slightly / a bit / hugely and could I still fit the roof in the boot ? Thanks for everybodies feedback !
  6. I have a single din Alpine Sat-Nav INA 033R and use a separate MP3 6CD Multichanger CHAS-64 from memory (loose under the passenger seat and it`s perfect with no disc skipping I took out the Toyota Amp) The DVD Sat-Nav cuts in over music when you need to turn, apart from the usual glitches in map software (tells you to turn off and then back on a dual carriageway when it computes a slightly shorter route) its fine. Every year they issue a new disc for £250 but if I said "file sharing" it could be less than this. Someone I know had a Navman and his said "Aquiring Satellites" and never finished, the Alpine has a GYRO and uses a speed signal for when it loses a signal.
  7. You asked for an RLTC install by a 3rd Party and it`s not really been satisfactory. I`d be looking for a remedial fix / investigation within a reasonable time period to give the installer a chance to rectify any problems and ensure complete customer satisfaction ! The Customer has rights as I`m sure Trading Standards understand !
  8. This RLTC group buy/ install story may seem "why the hell go through the hassle" to outsiders but mine is OK now so my advice is "persist coz life ain`t easy" I learnt an awful lot about wiring diagrams and would tackle other jobs now, being a DIY`er (quote from RedM) I can say that my install is probably more professional than the people who put his in as I wasn`t in a hurry and on a time limit. People on this forum can give fellow members much better advice from personal triumphs (and failures) than from so called professionals. This isn`t a slagging off post but I thought RedM by now would have had his problem sorted FOC so I do NOT apologize for saying this.
  9. NA! NA!!!!! Twin Turbo matey and don't be forgetting it. RLTC kob still cuts power and I've now found that my wheel allocations have changed!!!! Hoping to borrow a laptop for the weekend and do the job manually. __________________ Check with Terminator or Mike Broadbent, wheel allocations shouldn`t change by themselves as they`re saved in the RLTC memory. In theory the only way to change them is by using a laptop ! You might have a faulty one or maybe that loose power lead did do something ?
  10. If your NA is happy at 500 rpm and doesn`t stall then leave well alone, you`re helping the planet a little bit ! Mind U you`re also buggerring it when you do the Donuts but at least you`re trying a little. Is your knob (RLTC) behaving now ?
  11. Yep I guess its a spelling mistake as it appears std 620 920 320 whatever U like !

    French Cottages?

Mobile Homes are very luxurious in France so if you see one for private hire then that good be a good price. Most sites have swimming pools as well.

  14. From the RLTC Connector A (page 28 in the RLTC manual) follow the wires from Terminals 8,9,10,21,22,23 which should be in one bunch and see if they terminate in a WHITE plug near the car ECU at the top of the passenger compartment. If they do you can always disconnect from the RLTC here and reconnect the cars electrics. If NO plug then its been put in permanent and you`re stuffed. I did my own installation and it was tricky but anyone who`s done it once should be OK.

    speed pulse

Take a feed off the back of the Speedometer, or tap into the pink wire from the back of the odometer.
  16. Its interesting the word "calibration" I think its probally the wrong word. "Wheel ABS sensor Identification process" is what it really means, Envy would have done this for you when they installed it, after its been "calibrated" the settings are stored permanently inside the RLTC memory, it is possible that the rotary switch has got a worn/faulty contact inside which is causing this malfunction when you move its position. I`m not sure how you could test this switch apart from substituting one from a system that was working properly, try contacting Mike Broadbent at Racelogic on Monday ? I found a thread by Matt Harwood which interestingly revealed that he had an identical problem with the wire going to that inline fuseholder, he cut his off and installed a new fuseholder. My RLTC unit is tucked behind the carpet under the centre console in the passenger side so it can`t move as the wires on my harness were long enough to allow it to go there, I put bubblewrap around it to protect it.
  17. Its covered elsewhere but gearchanges are smoother with the std TRAC left in place, OK if yo`uve a MANUAL car !
  18. Hi the LED sounds fine its showing how fast you are revving Its on page 22 of the RLTC manual The car cutting out is NOT correct however, I have the digital adjuster whereas yours is the older type but it shouldn`t make any difference. Possibly a loose connection if your RLTC had moved.
  19. If Envy used the multipin plugs you can bypass the RLTC unit and eliminate that from being a possible fault. Simply unplug the TWO sets of plugs and swap the FEMALE plug over. Then you`re back on original wiring .
  20. I`ve had problems with my alarm (only 1 key fob is still working) , it needed to resynchronise (hold the 2 buttons down for 10 seconds and then arm and disarm it) or read the alarm manual if my suggestion doesn`t work. My alarm is 7 years old Cobra 7928, I`ve just ordered a NEW spare for £100 as I think they will be discontinued shortly.
  21. Much easier to take the positive terminal off the battery and this resets all the ECU`s on the car. My first RLTC unit had a faulty circuit board which was replaced under warranty after 2 days once I figured out it might be faulty, I was told it was a rare occurence but reading this thread it appears that at least one more has been faulty. I wonder if QC at Racelogic is 100% . I used the multipin connector plugs which I crimped and soldered so that in the event of an RLTC failure I could revert to standard, it was NOT easy to do (I had bruises on the side of my body due to the PITA location of the Supra ECU loom) but I would advise everybody to do this in future installs just in case of a problem, the manual STRONGLY RECOMMENDS this. Mine does now appear to be OK so it`s not all bad news. Envy installed RedM`s system so it must be under some kind of guarantee and I`m sure they will help him !
  22. I did achieve 125 miles on a motorway at 80 mph and the gauge started full and showed 3/4 afterwards. I know this sounds good but the throttle hardly changed as the motorway was busy. I have also had as little as 250 miles and put £50 worth of super-unleaded in BTW !
  23. My TT has done over 65000 on original sensors, flew through the MOT with Lambda bang in the middle of the test range. My mpg seems to worsen when its colder but on a motorway run its okay 125 miles from a 1/4 of a tank.
  24. Only 3 terminals are used on the serial cable so if you wanted to you could use an extension lead or Twin and earth and solder the 3 cables to Maplin serial connectors (1 male and 1 female) or borrow a laptop from someone as once setup its unlikeley you`ll need to change settings very often.
