Martin, just feel envious for all the gear changes and clutch operations you`re missing whilst driving in traffic. I had an S2000 with a 6 speed gearbox and it was a pain in the ass in traffic. UK roads will get much worse yet. In Bristol there are 2 main arterial roads being resurfaced this week, on Ebay you can buy a "Residents Pass" that allows you to use the A4 near Saltford, they`re putting in another "Gate" to verify if peoples passes are real now ! Getting really silly in the UK now !

Where are you in the UK ? Have a look at mine, I`m in Bristol. If I get the right price then it may be for sale ? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=164 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=72468

Clearance It is, of course, extremely important that the clearance Pitch Circle Diameterof both the vehicle body work and steering/suspension components are maintained. Failure to do so would most likely cause damage to both the tyre/wheel assembly as well as the body of the vehicles. Clearance is achieved by selecting a wheel of the correct size and type of tyre. Quality alloy wheel suppliers can give such information. Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD) The P.C.D. can be defined as the diameter (in millimetres) of an imaginary circle drawn through the centre of the stud holes on the wheel and/or the vehicle wheel hub. When new wheels are required, it is essential that they have the correct P.C.D. for the vehicle concerned. Wheel Location on Hub Adaptor / Spigor Ring Arrangement Motor vehicle manufacturers use a central location collar on the stub axle hub in order to accurately locate the wheel. The wheel collar diameter varies, depending on the make of vehicle. Many replacement allow wheel manufacturers use an adapter (spigot ring) to vary the diameter of the locating hole. In this way, a particular wheel can, by changing the spigot ring, be used on a variety of vehicles. The adapter/spigot ring arrangement is illustrated in the diagrams to the left. As an example, TSW Spigot rings should always be fitted without he tapered edge facing the vehicle hub. This is to allow easy and accurate location of the ring onto the hub collar.

Gawler Tapes in Yate near Bristol do any tape imaginable, only problem is that its a £30 minimum order. Do an internet search !

How about something like this as a TEXT message ! " It was very nice to meet you again, it`s made me realise what I`m no longer missing, grow up and get on with your life ! " :d

Martin are you on standard suspension still, if you are I would have thought the exhaust should be a bit higher off the ground ?

Why have you changed this ?

Popped up here tonight, the Range Rover display was impressive and the Soop may have lost here but it ain`t a Chelsea Tractor ! Lexus SC 430 nice but I`m not prepared to lose 40 BHP annd increase the engine size, the stalks for indicators look the same as my 10 year old Supra ! Leg room in the rear was similar ! Nice warm day though this runs to Sunday ! South West Tyres stand had some nice wheels plus a Skyline and "Something Else" like a TVR shape but Jap and H reg looked OK though What was it ?

Ocean World at Cofresi is an excellent half day http://www.popreport.com/FeatureArticles/OceanWorld/index.html We did the Sealion Encounter, the Reef swim and had a meal included for $50 each, my wife had a Dolphin Encounter for an extra $60 which is better if you aren`t really a good swimmer. I did enjoy playing with the sealions but their breath was interesting when they kissed you ! We always take a good selection of medecines with us, if you`re careful and don`t have too much sun and alcohol in the first few days you will be fine and I think all I ever used was a few paracetamols and loads of after-sun. Dollars are the best currency TAKE plenty of small notes like 1,5 and 10 , don`t accept pesos as change as this is a con ! We had the "Locals" visit the complex one weekend but where we were they were well behaved, I have heard that its not always the case, I have seen a few UK citizens also misbehave. Its a public beach at Playa Dorada so if you get pestered to buy anything a firm NO will do the trick. You will enjoy it but take care in the sun for the first few days as that could ruin your holiday.

Bottled water should be provided in your room for drinking / brushing teeth ! Anything with DEET will keep mozzies away ! At night wear THIN trousers/slacks or shirts to cover your skin from Mozzies ! It will be HOT so THIN is best, also take an UMBRELLA as there are FLASH rain storms and you might get wet going to the Restaurant, its WARM rain but quite unusual for a newcomer here ! If you`re female then expect to be chatted up 5 times more than in the UK especially if you`re blonde ! At the airport tell the friendly porters to leave your luggage to you as its all of 100 m to the coach and they will want DOLLARS for this ! Almost forgot US DOLLARS are the best currency to take, you might need $50 fo a safety deposit box and you need $ for entry and exit as well. All Inclusive in the Dom Rep is good so I`d say $400 for 14 days including 2 trips for 2 people !

Been here a few times now. Tips If any food dish is lukewarm or tastes iffy stop and get something else ! Use High Factor Sun Cream and take plenty as its dear here ! Trips, in the commercial centre you will get offered trips maybe 2/3 the price your reps offer you, ask about insurance and I believe you will save money this way ! Puerto Plata tour is a waste of time and includes the Amber Museum ! Monster Jeep Safari is excellent about £35 for 3/4 of a day Mad Dog Island is great but use loads of sun cream as i didn`t ! Catamaran trips will run if the Atlantic Ocean is calm or rough so make your own mind up as you can see the water where you are ! Sosua bars (40 mins away) are full of attractive females (who may be HIV plus) so use your brain if they seem too friendly as its a very poor country ! Absolutely Lovely Holiday Location though !

If I`ve followed the thread 100% then you have helped matters a lot, I could ask everybody to sit down, reflect on every single phone call made to those wonderful call centres like SKY, all the ENERGY providers, quite a few INSURERS. 1) Please wait all our advisers are busy helping customers and I know we`re pissing you off by making you wait but thats the way it is ! If you don`t like it F*** O** and try later. 2) Sir you need to ring this number instead, but I was told to ring you and after 45 minutes you`re telling me i was given duff information. 3) We`ll call you back today (The Best Lie Ever) There are more like this which charge up to £3 a minute for psado-masochism. Martin has done his best and been probally too honest for his own good, I don`t reckon he`ll ever do a Group Buy on Exhausts after being given the runaround by Greddy Etc !

Twin turbo aerotop with veilside kit, lambodoors etc for sale
milocoon replied to a topic in Supra Classifieds
Nice car, you might get lucky but ask Dangerous Brain, Bolts and a few other owners with nicely modded soops and I suspect you should be closer to 10K for a quickish sale. I may be proved wrong. Have a look back at previous cars for sale and you will see that the price goes down after a month, 2 months etc. If the summer this year is good then you may get more. My 1995 M TT Aerotop is standard and a lovely car to drive but I don`t think it would get 8K in the current market, pictures in my garage gallery. 19" wheels for me are a negative feature, way too big for a car fitted with 16" as standard. -
I see where you`re coming from, I guess the more the car is braced rear, middle and front the less it will flex / twist. This brace was designed to solve a shortcoming by Toyota when they removed the roof, I`ve read elsewhere the aerotop was stiffened as well but that might be folklore. The scuttle shake is immediately noticeable in a standard aerotop when you remove the roof. I`m pleased to say that this rear floor brace does help to vastly reduce that scuttle in the aerotop. On medium to good roads near to me there is no scuttle shake now with the roof off, on badly potholed roads you can still feel this but it was awful before. With the roof on I can`t detect any difference. The brace itself does appear to be very rigid and an excellent fit.
-
Normal Supra doesn`t really need this, it`s designed for Aerotops which have a more flexible chassis when the roof is removed. It will fit a fixed head soop, passenger leg room is reduced by 1 1/2" approx or they can raise their heels a little. It was a special import from Nic ( Import Pimp) so PM him if you want one and you want to save some money.
-
Thanks to Nic from HK for getting me a 103 014 0 CARBING Mid Floor Brace which I believe is the same as a Do-Luck. This is only for Aerotops and it does reduce the "scuttle shake" when the roof is removed. On very poor surfaces it is still apparent but I`m more than happy with the improvement. You need to cut your carpet so the sides can slot back into the car, due to the extra thickness I had to leave the lock washers off the seat belt anchors. There is already a threaded section in the car sill for the other mounting bolt. Took me a little while to figure out the above but it was fitted in an evening. here are some piccies, its a very nice fit in the car BTW.

Can I have this now and pay you later when I can afford this ?

I have the manifold gauge set and 134a adapters and quite a bit of 134a, the basic problem with car air-con is the flexible hoses from the air-con compressor are permeable and it gets very warm under the bonnet so over a period of time you will lose the gas. You have two choices renew the hoses or recharge the system (hope Green Peace aren`t reading this), if you renew the hoses they will eventually become permeable again, Mercedes Benz admitted a few years ago that these hoses are permeable. If you have NO cooling at all then its usually a big leak or a knackered air-con compressor due to running the system with low refrigerant charge. Main culprit here is the air-con condensor having corrosion or stone damage ! New or recon compressor is going to be expensive. If anyone locally needs help I can attach gauges and tell them whats happening in their system ? I have City & Guilds Refrigeration Mechanic and Technician Qualifications. Safest entry point is the Low Pressure side marked L when you add Vapour and NOT Liquid into the system.

I used to have an S2000 and there was a company that did a turbo kit (HI-Performance) that has had bad reviews, if I were a company that did,nt care I would be awkward !

Usually from Turkey, you expect 4 legs but sometimes screen printing or "fictional" says 3 legs !

Ever asked a question and they say we`ll come back to you with an answer ? I`ve had good prompt ( within 48 hrs ) replies from the following. The guy gave up a £50K job to start his own business dream ( or nightmare ) and put up with threads like this, read the last few pages. I`ve met him in person and he is a really pleasant person. How many threads these days mention customer satisfaction, I know that he has offered on at least one occasion free accomodation at his house for someone supplied with a group buy BUT fitted elsewhere in an effort to help sort out a FAULTY install ! Without genuine honest people like Martin put your Supra in a skip now ! :p

And I have corrosion on my front wheel arch, this is clearly totally unacceptable and 100% your fault, I insist upon a total respray as the 10 year old paint job won`t match the new paint. Whilst this is being carried out I insist on a suitable hire car (TVR Cerbera, Nissan 350Z Roadster). Failure to a reply to this serious complaint which is life threatening within 24 hours will result in me taking you to a small claims court or eventually crown court. We all f**k up and you in my opinion you are too honest for your own good ! Please be aware that there are scammers (EBay) out there who exploit your weakness and filch you. Everybody else with negativity ( get a fu****g life this guy is so straight I can`t see a bend 40 miles from his house. !) Trader Rating for me he`s 5 Star and the Future for keeping our Dinosaurs on the road. Rant Over:sly:
