SENASIAN I feel I have to give you some advice about Color, it`s been proven many times that WHITE is the fastest color as its wavelength is different to any other color. If you want a slower car then by all means ignore WHITE when I`m in front of you disappearing into the sunset ! LOL

Theres an N/A here for sale at what I would say is a more NORMAL price. QUOTE L599 LUX for sale (Jspec NA Auto) ok guys i have to sell her auto trader advert http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW...00623238809921 im looking for £5495 ono (edited from original price) __________________

I agree with CJ take someone with you or get it MOT`d at a garage of your choice, if there is nothing to hide then that should be acceptable to the seller ? MOT is about £40 and the tester might spot any other problems if you ask him ? Good Luck If you can find £8000 you might get my aerotop TT if you`re quick, I`ve not used it much recently (lower mileage at 70,000). TT Supra`s are a different beast compared to a N/A BTW !
-
Its sunny and dry in Bristol, no chance of going sideways here !
-
For £3000 it appears to be a bargain, buy it subject to a new MOT test at your choice of garage. Cars in general can be expensive to fix you do tend to get what you pay for, the ebay ad might be a trader BTW !

Colsoop is right about the exact description, I did the Bell Quote online and it was only when i queried the description by phone that I found out that I could have made a big mistake. Its worth being truthful about modifications as thats another way companies won`t pay a claim. Touch Wood I won`t need to claim.

A Plan use Ensign, my excess is a bit larger than Sky quoted.
-
BASHTHEBISHOP yes Sky were OK but £170 dearer.

I`ve got a TT Aerotop Auto (GZ spec), I`ve tried a few Insurance Companies as my renewal is due and have decided to go with A Plan as they were helpful, friendly and very reasonable. The Insurance Company they use is called Ensign BTW. Bell Direct will NOT insure an Aerotop as it`s not on their list of Imports, I tried explaining that apart from the roof panel and maybe a bit of chassis strengthening there was no difference, so anyone with an aerotop be careful as in the event of a claim and you had selected a TWIN TURBO AUTO (IMPORT) they would`nt pay out if you had a policy with them, attached is a picture of the models they insure. Lancaster say my car does not meet their insurance criteria. Sky and Tesco were fine but £170 and £350 more than A Plan charged me. Academy Insurance told me that the A Plan quote was excellent and they couldn`t get anywhere near them.

Known as the gentle giants, NOT lap cats but my female is affectionate, to date KILL Seagull (bigger than the cat), Frog (very messy), Doormice (Loads), Normal Birds (Can`t tell as the cats have been busy), Bat (Alive and handed to me for examination) Weasel or Stoat stunned (I thought it was dead - then it came to life and was really aggressive) OK Cats are Killers but not always !

Mods I declared to Lancaster Factory Fitted Skirts / Spats RLTC Rear Floor Brace Bar Alpine SatNav Head Unit with CD Changer HID Dipped Beam Bulbs The girl was helpful and even rang me back as it would have to be submitted for approval but it doesn`t meet their criteria so there`s no point. Maybe a UK TT is OK ? I`m 46 with maximum protected noclaims so I`m a little surprised ! The original thread is ages old BTW so £9,500 now may be unrealistic.

I rang jay (SKY) today for a quote and found him helpful, SKY appear to be more expensive than Bell Direct but Bell won`t pay for any repair to non-std parts. However SKY are less than Tesco and don`t have silly excesses or want to charge me to take my car to France. Lancaster would NOT insure my J-Spec TT Aerotop GZ as it didn`t meet their panel of insurer`s criteria. I had to call it a Supra TT GZ and leave the aerotop bit out, I think it`s a case of you get what you pay for and I got the impression that mods to the car are frowned on by Lancaster. I always declare mods as if you do get unlucky it`s always a get-out clause for an insurance company !

Couldn`t get above 3000 rpm on the M5 travelling to Newquay, the traffic was only doing 85 mph and all three lanes were full. Now if the roads were empty maybe I would tread on the pedal a bit harder !

Hi need to renew my policy in just over a month so can I have some good and some bad feedback on the following 4 companies. I got a quote from Bell and emailed the rest my details. 1) Bell Direct - extremely low quote of £364, I realise they will only repair the std car parts. 2) A-Plan 3) Sky I know they can offer an agreed value for an extra premium, what would the trade write off value be for a 1995 TT Aerotop ? I value my car at £8000 but I`ve no idea what the book is for an import ? 4) Lancaster Any more companies to try (Tesco want £634)

GZ is top spec, leather seats, cruise control, active spoiler and best hifi. Gold Toyota Emblems. Usually TT are optional as GZ and all aerotops are GZ. Don`t think any NA are GZ apart from the aerotop.
-
Have a look at my Garage this is a 1995 GZ Twin Turbo Aerotop. Everything works as intended by Toyota, PAS, Air-Con, Active Spoiler, electric Drivers Leather Seat, HiFi installed is optional ! Fastest Color is WHITE RLTC with Digital Adjuster 17" Alloys Carbing (aka Do-Luck) floor brace to reduce skuttle shake when aerotop comes off. HID on dipped beams. Uses very little oil between oil changes. Never put any fluids in radiator or autobox as none have been needed. Mileage is 70,000 with proof. People may laugh at my claim but gently driven (2,500 to 3,000 rpm in top) I can acheive 27 mpg. Price pm me it`s a lovely car !

Same as yours but 43,000 miles, new front discs/pads as it failed an MOT. Serviced by Peugeot first 2 years. Servicing since then my Nephew who works for Peugeot. It was immaculate but it didn`t sell as easily as it should. If you can hang on you might get more for it, but if timing is tight then you might have to drop ! Good Luck !

You`re asking too much unfortunately, my wifes X plate sold for £3100 almost a year ago, cars just aren`t selling for good money these days.

About £36.50 (inc VAT) for Toyota J-Spec Rear Pads, Colsoop listed the correct part number above ( 04466-30030 ) for a J-spec. I changed these on my car a few months ago. The UK pads are different so make sure Mr T orders the correct ones. Just noticed a good deal from Bijal, have a look at http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=1006410&posted=1#post1006410 I`m ordering some fronts as this is a very good price !

With Ebay, you might find a bid of say £4001 in the last minute so I`d suggest you reinstate your reserve if that`s not what you want. No-one has bid so nobody can complain if you do reinstate a reserve. Hope this helps you !

Went to Family&Sports car Centre in Southampton today.....
milocoon replied to Pabs's topic in Supra Chat
Off the Forum, the history of the car is already here in previous threads and I`d say 100% of the owners here care and worry so you can`t go wrong. The only issue is "HOW MUCH" I might think my car is worth £11,000 however person B says he`s seen it on Ebay and it went for less (say £5,000), I don`t want to drop by £6,000 so I wait for a deal between the two prices. I can`t offer a guarantee so its a dilemna, what`s really annoying is someone goes to an importer (NOT Jurgen BTW) and pays my price for a DOG ! Just my ten pence worth of experiences ! -
Looks like a facelift TT (95 to 97), probally not VVTI ? Is that an FMIC fitted ? Nice like the wheels, do you ever frequent the "Black Horse" at Clapton, I`ve been known to sink a pint or two of "Thatchers" at this establishment on a "Sunny Afternoon" , BTW what happened to the summer today in "Bristle" If U need any info / advice send me an email [email protected] PS I`ve installed a "Flamer" under the SOOP for the marauding Zombies in "Shire" high street who are wondering around looking for fresh blood !

Well it ain`t a Two Way Turbo from a Soop, how much these Guy`s are asking. My car must be worth £12,000 easily, wonder how many they shift ?
