My car has been clocked - bought from Paul Evans (formally Miami GT)
milocoon replied to Homer's topic in Supra Chat
I think I may be one of the luckiest owners of an import, my TT Aerotop came with ALL the Japanese history and Auction Sheet, (admittedly its difficult to understand) and unless its been forged I`d say that the history ties up with the Importers declared mileage (converting from km to miles) perfectly. The steering wheel and foot pedals are the first clue, I saw an Import with an extremely worn Toyota steering wheel with a claimed 65,000 miles on it, the pedals were aftermarket add-ons as the original rubbers were badly worn. I noticed one of the wheels had a really bad dent in the rim and the guy said that it was nothing to worry about, during a test drive I saw the dreaded "Flashing O/D" light which is the classic sign of a bad UK Speedometer conversion or faulty module. If the car looks wrong walk away and find a good one, there are a lot of rubbish about, the fifth car I saw I bought as by then I could spot bad ones. No tacky aftermarket fog light on mine, this had been converted properly, everything worked properly with NO "Flashing O/D" light! My TT Aerotop with 71,000 miles appears to have an immaculate unworn steering wheel (Its a GZ model with cruise control so maybe the quality is superior in my case ). But the pedals are slightly worn but original. If someone puts a MOMO wheel on it will hide the mileage, check on here if unsure as there are sharks around ! -

SOLD on 03-Feb-2007 less than 2 weeks on here ! My TT GZ Aerotop has done 71,000 miles since new, its standard in the engine and exhaust department. It has leather front seats, cruise control, active front spoiler and everything works. Modifications are mph conversion with speed delimiter fitted, RLTC with Digital Adjuster, HID kit on dip beams, 17" Team Dynamics Daytona alloy wheels, proper fog light conversion using the Toyota rear lights, a specially imported rear seat brace for when the aerotop is removed on sunny days. MOT`d till Nov 08, Tax till July 07 comes with approx £500 of new spares (Front J-Spec discs, complete set of pads, oil filters, air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, oil etc) and an Alpine SatNav with 6 MP3 CD Changer is available at extra cost if required otherwise the Std Toyota HIfi goes back in. I will take a P/X against this (Peugeot 107, 207, 206CC or other small car) or £7,500 cash. In my garage there are a full set of pictures but here are a few to look at in this post. I`ve also got a spare standard exhaust system to go with this. I`m located in Bristol in the SW of the UK. PM or Email me for my home phone number to find out more.

Park it on a level surface and tighten down lightly, go round again a little tighter and then once more. That should sort it, mines had extreme weather over it today and its bone dry inside. Why is it you open the door to get in and it drips on the seat ?

Look in my garage for pictures, comes with brand new rear tyres Michelin Pilot Sports 2 (anyone who puts cheap rubber on one of these is a fool !) and approx £400 of new service items (All genuine Toyota, new front discs, spark plugs (Platinum), air filter, oil filters and more) plus some non-OEM spares. RLTC with Digital adjuster Doluck Rear Seat Brace to reduce aerotop flex when roof is removed - special import from Nic (Import Pimp) MOT till Nov 08 70,000 miles from new with proof including all the Jap history. A few scratches here and there but nothing unusual for an 11 year old car It does go rather well when the roads are empty with both turbos pulling faultlessly, if you want a second opinion ask Lucifer about mine ? It`s also got a recent HID dipped beam kit fitted which is superb and makes the car so much safer in the dark. I`m thinking of selling as I`m hardly using it at present !

Tesco Chablis £4.99 a bottle is quite nice and I would recommend. Blue Nun is very very sweet and really for your mum to drink.

£8.30 each fitted, balanced, new valve and tyre disposal at Mike Knight tyres if you buy his tyres, they cleaned all 4 of my alloys for free. I think its a bad idea to buy tyres and get them fitted elsewhere. You can`t get WORSE than a Kwik Fit Bodger BTW !
-
The front tyres (Dunlops) were for my wifes Renault Laguna Sport, to be honest I`ve only ever used Premium brand rubber on high performance cars and I`ve been more than happy with the limits the Michelin Pilots allow, you can save £40 a tyre if you choose a Toyo. I believe you`ll get more miles out of a Michelin tyre so that offsets the cost a bit. When I`ve found a good value business that treats a customer very well I`m happy to pass on the info here, I reckon this dealer is focused in the right direction. I`ve never ever had my alloy wheels cleaned for me after a tyre change. If you want your car hand washed from a £5 they`ll do that as well. Recommended

I just had a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 2 245/45 Y 17 fitted to my TT for £300 all in. The wife had 2 Dunlop Sport 205/55 V16 SP2050 fitted for £100.44 all in. A little bonus which I`ve not experienced before is they clean all your alloys free as well afterwards. Chemical Spray then power wash off. Ask for Phillip at Mike Knight Tyres, St Andrews Road, Avonmouth, Bristol 0117 9380002 mention that a Supra owner recommended you and he`ll do anyone here a good deal. They use proper pro trolly jacks so no damage to your sill jacking points !

Tesco have 25% off and thats cheaper than the Threshers offer !

Xbox scene is a good place to start, it needs to be a Samsung S25 or S28 Drive or older Hitachi`s . If the console is manufactured after mid August 06 it`s not "currently" flashable. I bought mine new with this done by someone else as my PC doesn`t have a SATA interface needed to connect to the DVD Drive. Google is another source of info.

The one I have from HMV online bought 2 days ago has been flashed with the extreme firmware and is fine (Samsung Drive) It was the Limited Edition Smack Down WWE pack ! My TV is a CRT so the American NTSC copies don`t play as it flickers but all the PAL are fine. Need for Speed carbon is brill, I keep hitting things though !

Happy with the car standard at present. I`ve posted this elsewhere but I`ve sourced the Nippon Denso Platinum plugs for £45.95 for 6 inc vat. Contact James or Mr Paul Wheatly Westlands Toyota Brettell Lane Amblecote Stourbridge 01384 393047 or direct line to spares is 01384 393530 Tell them you`re a club member and get between 20 and 30% of retail price for Toyota Spares.

Alex my Toyota Supra manual lists 2 plugs for the TT NipponDenso PK20R11 (same as in the FAQ) but NGK BKR6EP11 you have put BKR7E (6097) I`m sticking with the NipponDenso but wondered about the NGK ? Cheers

Rayman about a year ago I was a Newby / Newbee so I`m passing on what I`ve learnt, for a tenner a year its the best investment you will ever make. You are welcome to contact me directly (PM) or by forum at any time (weekends are when U start things and get stuck ) this applies to anyone else reading this thread BTW I also have experience of RLTC installation and know about speedometer conversion wiring and where it should be wired. Cheers

Put the jack under the drivers door sill and elevate, the oil drain plug is on that side of the car, dead easy. The oil filter on the other side is the contorsionists nightmare but I`m 6 feet tall with XL hands and can do it. If its tight then use a piece of wood and hit it anti-clockwise as viewed from above. Use hand pressure only to tighten after smearing the oil filter o ring with fresh oil. A TT will need 5 ltrs (I use Silkolene Fully Synthetic Racing Oil from Opie Oils - it`s not cheap and I don`t actually race the car but it`s called engine insurance !) Use a new sump plug washer only about 91p each from Mr T (might be a pre-order so check) Part No 90430-12031

Cheryl is a slapper Rest are OK including Ginger - she`s alright ! Greatest Hits is average to good Nothing new or original IMO Robbie Wiiliams RudeBox is absolute garbage, he was brilliant in the "Angels" era but has lost the plot ! Now for a good listening experience try the "No 1 Ibiza Chillout Album" this is Quality ! :p :D

Oil and Filter change (the important bit) is a DIY. Buy quality oil and a std Toyota Oil Filter and you can`t go wrong. Search the forum and its all here, take the battery out and remove the oil filter from above ! I apologise to all the UK Japanese as they don`t need to remove the battery due to their small arms / hands !

Use Adobe Acrobat reader its a pdf file that youve downloaded or use Word to open a .pdf file ! It`s free to download ! If you want to save some money buy some discounted OEM Toyota parts and supply them to your servicing garage , they`ll still make money on the labour ! Hi I need to source a new pair of TT Front Discs for my J-Spec TT, I`ve found the UK part numbers but nothing anywhere for the J-Spec. I believe the discs are 296 mm and would have been fitted behind 16" wheels originally, does anyone know the Toyota Part Numbers please ? Thanks in Advance !

Been covered before but you do not have 9006 you have 9006J instead, a suitable replacement is a 9005. 9006J only available in JAPAN !

bristol import centre church road bristol - have they gone broke?
milocoon replied to jonshaw_uk's topic in Off Topic
At first glance they appear to have a very cheap (£5999 ) Supra TT GZ in White with low miles, the advert mentioned Manual but then they decided it was AUTO !
