  1. LOL I see this picture being emailed to lots of people soon!!!!
  2. Spotted this a few times in the past week or so driving through Farnborough and North Camp in the mornings, about 8am. Would not have spotted me as I am not in the Supra (driving a Seat Toledo 1.9TDi !!!)
  3. Got mine through on Saturday. Excellent stuff. New sticker now in the back of the car!!!
  4. I got half way down the third page and then I had to stop cos I was laughing so much. Fantastic stuff!
  5. Which ones are they then Si?
  6. Not sure i'll be able to get my hands on that but the americans have some good over the counter pain killers...
  7. Tamaflu!!!!! never heard of that Chris?!?!
  8. Yeah, best check out the prices... Went to NY last year Bobbeh. Great place!
  9. Great kick mate. Been taking it relatively steady as I dont want to do the engine a mischeif after being stationery for so long. The only problem is that I've been driving a diesel for the past few months and the petrol gauge doesnt move... so its a bit disconcerting to see the fuel gauge plummeting down after putting in £55 worth of Optimax in the tank.
  10. I can just imagine US Customs opening my case and finding a turbo charger in there. What are the chances that that might raise a few questions!!!
  11. I started working on a temporary contract down in Farnborough in July. It was only supposed to be for 9 weeks. I am still there !!!! It's one of the reasons I havent been on the BBS since last summer (I'm on a crappy dial up connection - oh, and I've been f*cking busy). I was provided with a car throughout the week and didnt really have much need for the Supe during the weekends. So I decided to save (well spend on something else) some money by taking it off the road. The contract is coming to an end soon (May) so I thought now would be a good time get things up and running again.

  13. Off for a brief trip to the US at the end of the month. What gadgets and gizmos would you lot recommend I try an pick up on the cheap? Remember, they've gotta fit in a suitcase
  14. ITS BACK.... After 6 months sitting in the driveway I've finally got the Supe back on the road again. Fantastic. Its like I've just bought the car again. I'd forgotten what it was like to drive and how quick I could get upto silly speeds. Only thing now is that I'm back in that frame of mind where all I can think about is modding it more!!!
  15. Thats good news. Thanks for sorting this out Mawby. I've recently gone with Sky as they quoted me £150 cheaper than my renewal. The service that Jae provided was very good.
  16. Yesterday lunchtime in the car park of the Plough & Horses pub in Cove, near Farnborough... anyone???
  17. Well, I've just had the garage on the phone and the news is good. The rad has been repaired and he's carried out tests on the cylinders and 'chemical block' test and he can find no evidence to say the HG has gone, and there is no longer any evidence of coolant leak! Fingers crossed that all will be ok...
  18. The rad cap is under a year old, so I'm waiting for that excuse. The mechanic knows that I'm running 1.2bar so I'll make sure the rad people have presure tested it.
  19. Tony, The radiator has had a new core... when it was looked at again, a leak was found at the bottom of the core between the core and the bottom tank! OK, the Rad Man might say that its the HG to cover his back, but at the moment the rad is back with them being fixed, hopefully properly this time!!! We'll wait til tomorrow to see if things work OK when it's all put back together again!
  20. Thanks for the replies guys, I'll get onto the mechanic now and ask him to carry out a few more tests. The rad should be back today from being fixed so I'll ask him to do a bit of sniffing and to check tranny fluid cooler. Fingers crossed
  21. Looks like the HG is gone on the car, although I'm not too sure... Took the car into the garage for a service and MOT last week and also to check out a possible coolant leak. The car had been off the road since September. Anyway, the guy tells me that the rad is stuffed and suggests a re-core. OK I thought... Picked the car up on Saturday and drove a whole mile home at low speed (50mph tops) and low boost and find out the rad is leaking when I get home I take it back to him and he says that the seal between the core and bottom tank is leaking. This morning he rings me to tell me that the radiator people are suggesting that a Head Gasket leak may have caused it to 'over pressure' . There is also a sign of some oily gunk in the rad hoses. Obviously I dont want the head gasket to have gone. Cant believe it has given the cars recent usage (does this have anything to do with it???) Can I have your opinions please folks? Are there any tests that can be done to confirm failure? Cheers and fingers crossed...
