  1. Hi Colin. Welcome from another Carlisle supra owner. I don't post often either, but do spend a lot of time reading and admiring other peoples cars, keeps me from selling mine (Red N/A aerotop) as I usually only manage around 100 miles a year in it.... If you see a Volvo XC70 flashing you it'll be me. George

    Volvo V70

I've always had volvos, I would wait and get a diesel. I have a V70 D5 (03)and get 40 mpg around town. My last one a V70 2.5T (R reg) did 12 mpg around town. Servicing costs are quite high and they eat front suspension bushes and tyres. Other than that they don't go wrong and take an amazing amount of abuse. They are the best fishing wagon around. Carry 3 people plus Coarse match gear no problem
  3. Just had a look at these, I had not heard of it. Looks interesting......
  4. Don't think it's me, I would have noticed a Soarer. That and I wasn't at Kirkbride. The only other red supe I know of is Geoffs Uk Spec but I don't think he's on here. George
  5. I arrived at the campsite at 3.00pm on the Saturday, booked in and set up the tent in the bottom corner, :search:no Supras to be seen, obviously all out on the Saturday run. Walked into the village and had a lovely cream tea in one of the cafes. The heavens opened up at 5.15pm so I sat in the car for an hour, still no Supras around so I thought pack up the tent and go home. heard the cars arrive as I was finishing packing up. I had a walk up as soon as the rain eased to introduce myself but there was no one around so I guess you must have all gone to the pub. I enjoyed the drive there and back though:thumbs: George
  6. Probably just there for 1 night, not sure which one yet
  7. Has anyone had this done (brake & fuel lines) by Toyota and how much was it? George
  8. I should be able to make this, sounds good.[GRIN][/GRIN]
  9. Hi and welcome. Your car looks great I'm in Carlisle, there are another 4 of us that I know of, 1 UK, 1 Import TTand 2 NA's (mine's the red aerotop) we usually only get to meet up at AJI's Lake District runs, which are great:thumbs: Oh, and when you fit your new wheels, don't forget to fit the correct size spigots otherwise you'll shear the studs. I don't know what you've driven before but take it easy for a while, the supe is very easy to get sideways!!! Have fun George
  10. Don't even think about driving it in icy weather. It saves the embarrasment of being passed by Fiestas while you are just sitting there with your wheels spinning. LSD or no LSD. It's easy enough to get sideways when it's just wet!!! George
  11. Mine will be going back into storage Nov to April inc, but I'll see you in the spring. George
  12. Probably not Neil's then, he was a local, but I know he was thinking of selling his. How long have you had your car? George
  13. Hi, yes saw yours in Chatsworth Square, did your car used to be Neil's? George
