  1. Hi There I am looking at getting the cambelt changed on my 97 NA Supra and need a garage local to me to do the job. If anyone knows anywhere can you please let me know or if there are any specialists on here that can carry out the work in the midlands again can you give me a shout. I am based in Leamington Spa so anywhere nearby would be great. Many Thanks Trevor

  4. Hi guys well my car has just hit the 60,000 mile mark and I was wondering if there are any things that I should be looking for in terms of wear and tear and should be looking to change/get fixed on the car? Can anyone tell me when things like the cam belt need changing etc and what problems do people seem to get with 60k miles and over. Cheers
  5. As long as the motor is in working order ill take it. Can you PM me your details and ill get back to you in a week if thats ok as I am just off on holiday for a week so ill sort it as soon as i get back
  6. *** Now Reduced £6999 ono *** Hi Guys After owning my 97 facelift for about a year and a half I have decided that I want to try something different. Its been a great car to me and I have really enjoyed owning and driving it but I now have the urge to try something new. 1997 TOYOTA SUPRA 3.0 3dr, 60000 miles, Rare facelift model in metalic Gun Metal Grey, Automatic gearbox with switchable manual mode, Black leather interior with white piping. Electric windows, Electric folding mirrors, 18" Alloys with Pirelli P-Zero tyres, new rear brake discs and pads, cobra alarm and imobiliser. This car has been lovingly maintained regardless of cost and is totally standard except alloys. I have also replaced the headlights (as the old ones were going yellow). Finally the car was serviced a week ago so is ready for a new owner. This is an excellent example and any inspection welcome. Ring 07901 684332 or email [email protected] for any details Looking for £8500 or would consider up trading for a Facelift TT
  7. Has this car been on ebay previously? I think i keep seeing this car pop up for sale every now and again.
  8. I am in need of an electric aerial motor for my mkiv Supra. if anyone has one for sale could you please contact me with the details Many thanks
  9. Hi Guys The bulb behind the gear shifter in my Supras Automatic gearbox needs to be replaced as I can't see what gear I am in, in the dark. Can anyone tell me what type of bulb I will need and also how easy it is to get to the bulb. Is it a case of taking out the entire center console cover to get to it or is there an easier way to get to it. Cheers
  10. Cheers but just got some off Chris Wilson a couple of days ago. Thanks anyway Trev
  11. I am going to be changing both discs and pads. I bought some pads last week brand new for £15 which i thought was a bargain but can't seem to find any discs for sale other than from toyota who want £ 73.98 each, any suggestions?
  12. Hi Guys I am going to have to get my rear brake discs and pads changed on my supra very soon as there is hardly anything left of the rear discs. I spoke to toyota and they wan £160 for a set of discs plus £90 fitting. Also another garage i contacted told me that they also would want £90 for fitting. So can anyone tell me how easy they are to change myself, what i will need and what to look out for when doing it. If it saves me £90 then ill give it a go. Also its an NA supra if this makes any difference, as i know they have smaller brakes than the TT's Cheers
  13. Bump Still looking for oem rear disks for an NA if anyone has some
  14. Ill take them if you still have them
  15. Hi There Does anyone know the part number for rear brake pads for a j-spec N/a supra? Many thanks
  16. Wanted, J-spec rear brake disks, new or used but in very, very good condition. Please PM me if you have some. Many Thanks Trevor
  17. Hi Guys I recently contacted my local toyota dealer about getting some new rear discs and pads. The guy at the garage asked me to supply them with the frame number and engine number as there are different types of supra. I did this for my supra which is an 1997 (facelift) SZ auto. It has 18" aftermarket wheels but still has the standard brakes. However I think that as the car is an SZ that when it was new it would have had 16" wheels on it and smaller 1pot brakes, is this the case? I sent the frame and engine numbers to the bloke at toyota and this is his response There are two different sets of pads and discs depending on what size you wheels are, If the tyres are fronts 235/45/17 and rears are 255/40/17 then the discs are £73.98 each and pads are £39.89 plus VAT If your tyres are not the discs are £73.98 each and pads are £30.87 plus VAT for both of them the labour charge is £90 plus VAT Could anyone tell me if this is correct for my car. The tyre sizes don't seem to make sense for an SZ and also do the prices seem resonable as it seems quite high to me? Any help would be much appreciated
  18. I am after some j-spec rear discs for my 97 Supra SZ. It has the smaller 1 pot rear brakes fitted. Looking for either new discs or nearly new. Please PM me with price, location and condition. Cheers

    Brake Discs

Hi Guys I need to get some new rear brake discs and pads for my supra and am happy to stick with the oem discs. However does anyone know if your local Toyota dealer in the UK can supply the correct discs for an NA supra as I know that the UK supra's have different brakes to imports. Cheers

    Project Supra

Hi Everyone I have decided that I am going to bite the bullet and have a go at making this project light weight Supra as a track day racer and am going to base the car on an SZ and not a turbo due to my budget and reading what other people have said. I think that if I can reduce a lot of the supras weight and add new brakes, suspension and some other mods that it will be a very quick machine. I have been spending a few days working out what I would like to do to the car and working out the estimated costs for the project and I will post up the proposed spec in a few days. Also my current 97 gunmetal SZ is up for sale at £9995 but I am also taking offers to downtrade to an earlier SZ as long as its a red manual with no more than 60-65k on the clock.
  22. Does anyone know this supra? I think it looks really nice. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1488214457119012774&q=supra

    Project Supra

Right I am very close to parting with some money to purchase a project car based on what people are telling me but I don't think my initial budget will allow me to buy a TT. The other option is to go for a N/A supra but would I be able to see power gains of up to 400bhp from an N/A car and what would the tuning costs be like compred to a TT. I have read that a few people opt for a turbo kit for the NA but the costs seem to be very high. Your Thoughts Please
  24. Here we go, my early project car designs complete with Viper Stripes!!!! What do you think, they are only very quick but i quite like them. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=859545#post859545
