Me again Right I have attached a few pictures of the bumper in question. What do you guys think. Does this need a respray and if so do you think a decent bodyshop will be able to match the bumper with the rest of the car?

Is this due to age or is it just a case that its always going to be a problem getting the paint to match on plastic surfaces?

Very nice mate. Have to say I do have a bit of a soft spot for white Supras, they do look very nice.

I have just been looking for some pictures of other RSP supras on here and I found one image of Jakes Supra that looks like it might have the same problem as mine In other pictures it looks spot on but this in the one above there seems to be a colour difference between the bumper and the rest of the car

I have taken some pictures so ill post them up when I get home. I did think that it might be that the bumpers are plastic and the other panels are metal so there might be a slight variation in colour. Does anyone know how much a respray on the front bumper would be and how closely matched do you think a bodyshop could get the paint?

Hi Guys I recently bought a 96 RSP supra and yesterday noticed that from the front of the car the bumper looks a little lighter than the rest of the car. I have inspected the bumper and it seems to be the original with no signs of a respray so is it that the paint could have faded? From certain angles you can't even notice it and the bottom of the bumper appears to be slightly darker so do you think that the colour could have faded over time? I'd like to hear from any Supra owners that have had or noticed a similar thing with their cars especially RSP supras. Trev

Cheers, it does seem to be a good example. The previous owner is a owners club member and really nice guy. I could tell when I meet him that the car had been loved. The only issues are fogged headlights (always seems to be an issue) and slight paint chips here and there which is to be expected for a 11 year old car. But other than that its spotless

Really, that sounds a bit low to me. The cheapest Supra for sale on autotrader is £2.8k

lol busted. I actually ended up paying £4600 for it as I had the 19" wheels. Wasn't going to bother with them but for the extra £350 I thought it was a good deal as the tyres are practically brand new Also I was just looking on autotrader and pistonheads and prices seem vary quite alot thats why i ask. I was looking earlier and prices were varying from £5k - 8k I guess if i am honest I just wanted to get an idea of price from you guys to see if what i paid for my car was money well spent.

Hi everyone I have recently bought my second Supra and I would say that I got it at a very good price for its age and condition. But just out of interest I'd like to know how much you guys think a pristine example of a 96 facelift SZ would go for, with loads of reicepts etc and about 55k miles on the clock? Also does paint colour affect the price e.g. would you pay more for a gunmetal, RSP (colours only available on facelift models), mines RSP. Cheers Trev

Dont worry, the cars having nothing extra doing to it than a new set of facelift headlights (old ones have condensation in) and a new set of carpets Oh and possibly an active spoiler but thats it. These cars look good enough as they are.

Yeah my last one was gunmetal grey which was a very nice & a pretty rare colour. There are some pics of that one here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=135675 This new one is RSP and before viewing it I hadn't actually seen a Supra in this colour in the flesh. The picture doesn't do the car justice, its an amazing colour and I think its just pipped gunmetal grey as the best colour for a Supra IMO

Hey Darren Well it happened, I went and bought another Supra this weekend. I just couldn't help myself. Thought I'd go for a different colour this time though so my new one is RSP. Hi everyone I was looking through some US sites the other day and have noticed that there seems to be a few 15th anniversary supras in the states. I have never heard of them before so does anyone know much about them? I found these pictures of what i would consider an amazing looking car. Is this a standard colour or is it a custom paint job? I was thinking of getting some new wheels for my new Supra so photoshopped a set of ijak rm-01 wheels onto a picture of it. Think they would look great but need some more £££'s Trv
