  1. Heres the picture of the battery. Doesn't look good at all. The + terminal is worse than the - but at least it has a cover so you cant see it
  2. Right where to start, fitting that battery nearly killed me yesterday. This is what happened: - I went to halfords and bought a hcb005 battery for £79.99 - Got home and removed the old battery which looked a lot smaller than the new one. The old battery was an elite battery for japanese cars. - Then I looked at the connector and the new battery terminals and realised the connectors are a LOT smaller than I needed. - Tried to fit the battery but sure enough the connectors were too small. After some 'handy work' from my brother which involved a hammer and 2 screw drivers we managed to expand the connectors enough to fit around the terminals. - Tested the car and it fired up a treat - Went to refit the battery brace on top. Oh, yes because the battery is much wider that didn't fit either. So my brother once again took it upon himself to find his trusty hammer and flaten one of the brace edges to make it fit. Started with a lovely clean engine bay requiring a new battery. Ended up with a new battery, half a battery brace and needing new connectors that will fit a UK battery. Never again! I took a picture of our handy work and you can see the problem for yourselves
  3. This might sound a bit stupid but i haven't changed a battery for a good few years so can someone remind which lead i need to remove first + or - and also which order you reattach them. If theres a website with a walkthrough thats great also does the supra have any special connectors etc and if so what tools will in need to remove/attach the new battery?
  4. Nope never heard back from them. Have put this on the back burner for the moment as need to do some exterior bits and pieces on the car before attacking the seats
  5. My battery has just died so I need to get one for my 96 facelift NA. Thinking of getting a halfords hcb005 but over the next month i am only going to be using it at weekends so is it worth me getting the battery now or holding out until i am going to be using the car a little more as I am worried about the battery draining again?
  6. Right I think i am going to get a halfords hcb005. However over the next month its likely that the supra is going to be stood still and only run about twice. So is it just worth leaving it as it is now and getting the new battery when I need it as I have heard a few stories of new batteries draining quickly so i could be back in this situation again.
  7. Right tried to start it again and as i am turning the igintion and press the horn the horn goes dull which makes me think its the battery. I read this post about different batterys and it sounds like a heavy duty halfords battery is the one to get as you get a good warranty on them. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=30238&highlight=clicking&page=3 Would you all agree or is there a prefered battery for these cars
  8. My cars a 96 facelift NA so what battery do I need if it is that? Think its due a new battery anyway so may pop to halfords and get one now.
  9. Hi everyone I have just tried to start my car and it wont fire up. When I turn the ignition key theres a very fast clicking sound coming from the engine but it doesn't sound like the engine is trying to start at all. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Trev
  10. Does anyone have any pictures of this project fully completed? The last photos don't show the finished car
  11. Also with the TRD kit is it just the rear quarters of the kit that create the widebody look and are the front quarter panels the same width as the orignal car? So in theory could you just buy the rear quarters and then fit them with other skirts and bumpers etc
  12. Did some digging on the web and found these, enjoy
  13. Hi Gaz Well what I am thinking of is a half way trd kit but keeping the standard front bumper and bonnet and then fitting a front lip to it such as the amuse lip. I have done a photoshop mock up of what i want. Is this possible?
  14. Does anyone know any resellers of the TRD 3000 wide body kit. Miami gt have it listed on their site but the page isn't there. Also roughly how much does the kit cost?
  15. Hi there I am looking for a toyota badge for the front bumper of my supra. I ideally want the grey coloured badge. I anyone has a spare one then pleae pm me Also I require the black plastic frame housing that sits behind the license plate and hold it in place. Again if anyone has one then please pm me Thanks

  18. Also has anyone ever seen this kit before or any other pictures of this kit? VIS 93-98 Toyota Supra 2dr, GT WideBody Full Kit http://www.racerwheel.com/abv-93tysupgtwb-099.html?ovmkt=05I5H9BIN9AKHUKH8R6EHH4GJ4
  19. Hi everyone Does anyone have any pictures of this supra or other TRD widebody supras preferably in red? http://www.jasonsiu.net/shoots/titanredsupra.jpg Also with the TRD kit is it possible to fit the kit with a different bumper as I like the idea of a widebodied supra but not so sure about the bonnet and front bumper. Cheers
  20. lol, My car is up at my mums house at the moment in the midlands as I live in London so only get to drive it at the weekends etc. Moving back up to the midlands next month though to buy a house hence the reason I bought the car a few weeks ago. Needed a cheap runaround
  21. Just looking through my old pictures of my last sup. I noticed that the bonnet seemed to be a slightly different colour to the rest of the car on that one too, but you'd have had to looked hard to notice. Seems like these cars have a few issues over retaining their colour but probably no different to any car of the same age http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/2296/codieskid22ng7.jpg
  22. Here are some better pictures of it:
  23. Thanks for the offer but I guess like you lot said earlier, there is no guarentees that the colour will match my car so i guess the best bet is to actually take my car over and check it out for myself
