I just took my NA down to Torque to book in for a service only to find they're not there anymore. I spoke to a lad at the valeting place next door and he said they had packed it in and he's no idea if they've just moved premises or have jacked it for good. I've used The Garage before with no complaints, but does anyone have any other recommendations around the area. Ta in advance

Nice car!! How much is a good single conversion from a NA realistically. Surely selling this and getting a TT at the prices they're at now would be a cheaper option than going from NA to Single. Or am I wildly off cue here?

So, what are you saying? That we should "go easy" on him because he's a copper. Because he does a risky job? Were do we draw the line? Because hes done a police drivers course? Or do we allow everyone who's done an advanced driving course to be treated differently. Last time I looked every citizen within Britain was subject to the laws of the land. No clauses or special treatment for specific occupations.

And I got pulled for doing 81mph on the M6. 3 lanes and not another car in sight. Well, Ive served in the Falklands, The Gulf and Bosnia. Am I exempt my 3 points for my 81mph. He broke the speed limit. End of. Or are we advocating all people who have driving skills are immune to the law of the land.

Great news. The second coming is upon us!! (ooeeerrr missuss) Strange thing but... I have a ticket for the game against Brum at Anfield which is where he will probably make his debut. Its never seen as a glamorous game, especially on a cold Wed february night. Although it was a sell out. Now, all of a sudden, all the ticket exchange boards are full of people clambouring for a ticket. Strange they can make it now, but weren't too concerned about missing it before 5.15 pm today. Gutted for them.

So just sign it and pay up? Begrudge 3 points on my license for 3 years for a couple of miles on a motorway.

Yeah, it was a van on the bridge routine. I actually saw it and had slowed down a bit (obviously not enough), but have no idea how far these mark you over. Could seriously have been a lot worse. After doing the same drive every 2 weeks for about 3 years (and I must admit to "being in a rush" sometimes) even my mates are surprised its taken this long. Is it true that its 10% plus 2 that your allowed over? If it is, then 3 points for 2 mph is a bummer, but over is over I guess. Should have went for the 94mph job like last time. Even that was only 3 points. "Nothing to do with money, nope, just combating criminal behaviour and terrorism, lol..." Well they did include a rather nice glossy coloured brochure explaining themselves. "Cumbria Safety Cameras is a partnership comprising Cumbria County Council, Cumbria Cops, Highways agency and Cumbria magistrates servis. It ooperates under a procedure called "Netting Off" which prohibits the partnership from making a profit but allows it to reclaim operating expenses from fines from motorists exceeding the speed limit" Which would seem like nice work if you can get it!! Could do with a new van? Hey, lets get busy guys!!

Just received my NIP through the post for last weeks little jaunt to Liverpool for the match. "At 10:22 on 14/01/2006 at location M6 Capplerigg Travelling South (S), in motor vehicle L*** *** offence Exceeding the speed Restriction of 70mph on a motorway at a speed of 81 mph Contrary to blah blah blah!!!" 81 mph, bloody hell. Don't know wether to feel lucky or embarassed. Cumbria safety camera vans!!!

Excellent!! Torque now at the racecourse, about 2 mins from me. Might pop down and have a word about some stuff with them. And maybe get the chance to have a look at this beast if its still there.

£790 quid was mentioned, but didnt really go too far into it (or I just knew I'd of had it done there and then). I think that may have been for the 75shot. Complete with what seemed like a big bottle. Said it could be fitted discreetly as well. And they do refills. Would really need to talk to Mark yourself though mate, to find out exactly what the deal is.

I had a temptation to get NOS on mine a while back. But managed to resist the temptation. But car was in for service at The Garage this week, and they do it. Dont know if anyones used them but am very tempted again.
