  1. Sounds good to me. I shall order some I think. The FTO looks nice I did look at them when I was shopping for a new car but at the time there were no really good examples they were all shite. That one looks good. I hope you enjoy your new Supra when it lands. What have you got coming?
  2. Ian K I don't suppose you have some pictures of the carbon fibre blades. Those are the particular ones I am thinking of buying. They say that the blades don't need replacing for at least 5 years and provide a 5 yr guarantee. Do they also provide a coating on the windscreen they wiper people say it helps to clear the vision by leaving a coating on the windscreen that makes the rain turn in to little bubbles.
  3. Been looking for some new wiper blades and have come across some silicone wiper blades. I am curious as to whether anyone has tried them. They look quite interesting and are available in various colours. So, Has anybody tried them? Are they any good? Or shall I be the first and report back?
  4. I think there are a few more of them around at the moment even if they are poor examples. I have found that its the type of car that everyone regardless of age considers to be "a nice car" it is always commented upon. I think that just serves to heighten the interest in what is an amazing car that puts a grin on my face everytime I drive it.
  5. There of course is another reason for you seeing a lot of newbie's. Some of us are just discovering that there is a website to share our interests with like minded individuals. The weather has been crap recently and we have been surfing for something to do . I have been personally bored to tears with listening to my other half talk about his on order 350z he apparently has 81 days to go. I have had my car for the last 12 months and I only found this site because the sticker on the back window led me to the UK Supra Owners website and there site referred me on. I have watched the site for a while and took my time to decide to sign up just cautious. I do agree that prices have dropped recently on the Supra and there are plenty to shit ones about. When I bought mine the TT was well above the 10k mark. And I have seen many very crap examples hence I am keeping my lovingly looked after example until it dies. Would like a TT to match thou

    Hello

Hi Katie Nice to see another girlie joining the community
  12. Ok guys and girls - got the answer to this one I think - the heat shields on the exhaust resonate (the twittering vibration I heard fom the back of the car) at certain rpm, particularly when accelerating .... apparently it is a problem which affects supras, especially when they're 10 years old or so. Many thank to Paul-k on the 350z web site for that one as he's had and identified the same problem. Thanks to all you Supra site guys - hope this diagnosis helps someone at some point ..... cheers all.
  13. Hi guys and gals, Bit of a semi technical thread really ....... OK my plan to spruce up my baby is starting to firm up, although it's looking like I'm gonna have to do some bits later rather than sooner ....... The next thing I need to get a grip on though is what I want to do with the seats and carpets ....... Has anyone either replaced the carpets throughout or recovered the front seats with leather already ...... how much will I be looking at for each job, are there any pitfalls worth pointing out and any pointers as to where I can get these jobs done ?????? Cheers all ...... I'll sit back and wait for your expertise to flood in
  14. Its not a seized brake had them replaced a while back. The car is in good condition.... not the dif or axle had the car up on a ramp and been underneath it, nothing to see that is unusual. You might describe it as an intermitent highish pitched tweetering / grinding noise under drive... it happens only when accelerating and is at any speed.
  15. Sorry. Its a grinding noise no clunking or banging involved a definite grinding!!!!
  16. This is probably not the right place to put this but........... For the last few months particularly when it's a dry day my car makes a funny noise from the rear on the drivers side when you are accelerating from a standing start. I have taken the car into the garage on various occasions and each time the mechanic can find nothing wrong!!! Any ideas????? It is definitely not my imagination and i think I need to educate my mechanic or find a new one!!!!!!!
  17. Dont necessarily need the extra power got a 350z coming to play with!!! Just really like my baby and want to give it something extra........really not sure what!!! Really fancy a TT thou cant convince myself that I want to spend the extra unless I get lower miles and newer car..... I am really trying to convince myself I dont want one of each...........
  18. Since I have decided that new girlies to this fab site can ask silly questions HELP ME I have an perfectly good very nice black N/A but after 12 months I have an itch I can't decide to scratch. So here goes.......... Do I body kit, respray in a different colour, add a new stereo and recover the seats in leather of my perfectly good N/A? OR Upgrade to a TT :flame Dev with all the extra refinements all ready added
