  1. Thanks guys, yeah will be full up by next weekend. Got it all sorted just in time.
  2. Thanks for all the nice comments guys. The plan is to get a ramp at some point, will be getting one that comes out the floor so any car will fit on and won't take up any space. Jamie did a great job, the floor is straight it's the whole building that's off. We had a knightmere fitting the pipes for the air lines as all the walls bow out in different directions.
  3. Well guys I have taken the leap! I had an opportunity that I couldnt let go, the unit next to mine became available and its much larger than my 1 car workshop. I have taken this while keeping my current one and with some big help from friends have made it into a great working space. Jamie P also knocked a false wall through for me so I can walk between the worshops which is a great help. As many of you know I also have a job running a car audio shop, with the trade dying off a bit I decided to cut my hours down. I now work part time at the shop which means I can devote more of my time to working on supras. So big changes for me! Its going to be hard taking less of a wage and having much larger overheads, but I will still be keeping the same work echic. Cars will not be rushed out and will still get the same treatment, just means I can have more big projects on the go and not be tripping over car parts all the time. I want to say a big big thanks to the people that have helped me with this as I couldnt have done it with out their help. Jamie P and his boys for building a mezzanine floor and for all those people that think he doesnt get stuck in, he built me a work bench and a stair case from scratch all by himself. Great work. Ricky49 for doing all the electrical stuff, lots of lights, plug sockets and doing loads of wiring. He also helped me do some plaster boarding, thanks mate. Jamie Bates for doing the airlines, I can now use my air tools anywhere in the workshop, real tiddy job and hard work. Chingy (Colin) for doing the security, hi tech alarm system and some bars coming soon for the windows. He will also be on hand to batter any criminals if they try to get in. Also my missus for doing loads of painting, even though she got most of it in her hair she did a great job and my mum for having a big clean up and getting rid of all the cobwebs. Well enough waffling, here are some pics of the progress. It used to be a barn and its been standing for a long time so its got loads of character.
  4. I assume you mean engines that havent has a rebore, you must always use a mineral oil in an engine that has been bored, been honed, had new rings ect.
  5. John is asking about the mineral oil because he has done an engine rebuild. A mineral oil is mainly used to bed the rings in, if you havent changed them then they should be fine although you should have rehoned it while it was apart. I would still use a mineral oil for the first run up as you only want to run it for a little then change it. I use Millers runnning in oil as it has cleaning agents in it as well and really helps with a new engine.

    Power Whore

I think people get it wrong, they just assume more power = more of a handful. Jamesy's car is more of a handful than mine. I have driven small single cars with aggressive power delivery that have given me more trouble than mine, most of them autos.

    Power Whore

I would have to dissagree with that My car at high boost is not undrivable at all, grips fine from 3rd gear onwards and I can balance the power through the corners as the power is not on/off.
  8. We must not forget the car was running 2 bar (approx 800hp) and a flat out run through all the gears. It may have been a little bit or pre ignition, im just surprised it survived as well as it did. Just goes to show how strong these things are!! Any other car would have spat the rod out the side of the block. This got jamie home from thunder road and he spanked the life out of it just before he got to mine.
  9. Not nice mate, when do you find out the results?
  10. I know, I always liked the early GT games but I think they are lacking something now. The driving feels much more realistic in Forza and the tuning section is a lot better. Im just not getting into it at the moment. X box rules!!
  11. Im not that impressed, not as good as Forza 3

  14. Should be getting mine tomorrow, looking forward to it.
  15. The breathers need to be open, if you run it from the catch tank to the air intake the oil mist will turn back into oil and get into the system. Run it fully open, if you like to clutter the bay or risk a fire you can run a catch tank. The best way is to run the pipes from the cam covers to the back of the car or route it into the exhaust.

    SRD Speaker Brackets

Hi mate, no I am based in west Sussex not too far from gatwick. These will be ready for the begining of next week.
  17. You would have to remove the active spoiler to fit a fmic, the kit comes with blue but I could get other colours if you want something different.
  18. Usually 2-3 days but depends what service they used, could be a week.
  19. The first limit in the stock block is usually the rod bolts. These become a problem over 750hp and when revving too high. If you run arp rod bolts with a large turbo and keep the egt's down I don't see why you couldn't run more. How much more reliably I don't know, that will have to be tested.
  20. Yes, £550 for a set of any of the 3 profiles.
  21. If its American wheel power I would take it as 850bhp flywheel. Usually works out that way.
