  1. It was very hot but I think it had something to do with hamering down the quarter mile then siting in the queues after My car is ok in traffic but after the runs we were doing the cars did not get the chance to cool down.
  2. I also have a fan mounted on the front of the ac rad which helps cooling. It deffinatly makes a difference
  3. Will take the engine out and drop the sump off to check the damage, hopefully I will get away with new bearings and another crank but will have to see. If its worse than that I may have to wait till the winter, mmm maybe a stroker kit.
  4. You could have put me up for the night It was really good to meet you Jay well done yesterday chap RAC paid for the hotel so at least they got that right and I saved a lot of fuel on the way home.
  5. I know been a long couple of days, we were still sitting out side the airfield at 9.30 at night not knowing if they where coming to get us. It was getting dark and we were in the middle of nowhere 260miles from home, not a nice situation.
  6. Sorry you had problems too Kev, well done with the top speed run. Hope you get it sorted soon.
  7. Well Ive only just got home, took the RAC 5 hours to get the local boys out to us and they took us to their depot in Hull where we were supposed to be changed over, but no one was there to get us. They then took us to ferrybridge services to be changed over but they couldnt get another truck for us so we had to stay over night in a hotel. We where then supposed to be picked up at 10.00 in the morning but they didnt get to us till 1.00. Thankfully the nice Polish driver was a machine and drove us all the way home in 5 hours, so glad to be home. Thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday it was really good of you. Well done to everyone who took part. I managed a 12.4 on my last run when I boke the car. Bouncing off the limiter in first trying to get traction off the line was the killer On my top speed run I missed a gear and only managed 144mph which was a bit dissapointing as I know I could have done much better. Thanks again guys for pushing my car
  8. I am bringing some tools also and will bring jacks and axle stands.
  9. Well done Lui, first time Ive been to Ace Cafe really enjoyed it.
  10. Looking at Nic's graph it looks like it shows back to back runs. So both the lines are horsepower, I could be wrong but thats what it looks like to me.
  11. If alot of people are unhappy with Stamner park then we could arrange an alternative meet at Pease Pottage, being more accessable it may get more interest.
  12. Thats right the run is in 4th gear, the dyno reads upto 140mph so 5th is a no no. Thanks, its cost me a lot of time and money but its coming together now. Will happily take you for a spin
  13. Ryan's been out in it so he can tell you what its like, we did some logs on the AEM and had 1bar by 4500rpm and full boost by 5000rpm, it comes in a bit lower in 5th and 6th gear. No traction issues in any gear so far but I havn't pushed it in first yet just 2nd onwards. Thats what I like about the twins its so smooth. Goes very well
  14. Thats some collection you have there
  15. Thanks Gaz Im looking forward to running it at TOTB should be a good day.
  16. Name Lee P Ecu AEM Trans 6sp Manual Turbos HKS 2835 Twins Cams Custom Mapped by Ryan G (remap) Result 708bhp, 515ftlb 10/10
  17. Updated the first post with the dyno graph. Intersting how far out the graph is compared to the road. Charlie said that the dyno does not create the same amount of load as road driving. I get full boost by 5000rpm and 1bar by 4500rpm but on the dyno its not at full boost till 6000rpm
