  1. Right, just to give some idea of the slight fitting issue with the new turbo. This is the turbo sitting flush on the manifold. With the housing rotated in this position it just fits on the manifold but is touching the number 2 runner, as you can see here. That then gives us no clearence for the intercooler pipe to go through the wing or down. The turbo would have to be spaced around 40mm to get the housing in the correct orientation to fit a hose on and then it would foul on the strut brace as it would be too high. Ideally the turbo would need to be higher and further forward to make it fit better but this would require a new manifold. The only way I can see it going on with this manifold is to space it up around 20mm and then cut the housing and welding a 45 deg elbow on to get the angle right.
  2. Ok, so ABS models have 2 and the none has 3 ports. Thats makes sense now.
  3. The master cylinders are the same, only two outlets.
  4. No need to change the stock regulator at all until you run an uprated rail and you dont need that till well over 600hp
  5. Yes on the dyno this is a big issue but on road the car has sufficient load to spool the turbos very nicely indeed. I wouldnt say they are too top endy for our roads at all, the car is very drivable in the twistys. Your right for most people with 600hp goals the single kits are far better for many reasons. If you want big power, something different and can afford it then the big twins are great IMO. I think one of the ultimate setups for track or even fast road would be a stroked high compression engine with big twins sized for around 650hp. mmm, maybe next year
  6. I havn't seen pics of Eau Rouge before, very nice Ken. If I had the money I would love to have a second supra like this as a DD, looks awsome.
  7. Your right on one thing, all turbo cars produce slightly less boost on the dyno than on the road, but where the big twins suffer is with building boost. My car has been to SSR many times and I have spoken to Charlie about the difference in the dyno graph to how the car drives on the road. He informed me that the dyno does not load the car as much as driving it on the road and my car will suffer more from this than a single car, even of the equivalent size turbo. Having 3 cylinders running each turbo requires more exhaust gases to get the turbos going, so this raises the boost threshold a fair bit on the dyno.
  8. Same here and you dont have to do stupid speeds to have a bit of fun.
  9. Thanks for the input Ken Much appreciated My dyno graph doesn't help too much either as the car was running low CR at that point. With the new engine the car is much more responsive low down. Ryan is remapping it soon and we will be doing some data logging on the road to get some comparisons to the dyno graphs. Will post the results when done
  10. In front of the fuse box there are two plugs, you will find an ignition source in one of those. Not sure of the colour but should be easy to find.
  11. Was a good day, weather held out for us. Gutted for you mate let me know how you get on. Give me a shout if you need anything.
  12. Hope its nothing serious mate, get well soon.
  13. Bump! Can bing this to Japshow tomorrow if anyone wants a bagin.
  14. I think Lui is going to be handing them out at Toddington and he is going to wait at the gate with them too.
