  1. I was just about to change my suspension today when I noticed that my car had a yellow color Toyota-Bilstein shocks installed in them. However, the stock shocks (brand new) that I have awaiting installation are black in colour and are made by KYB. Does anyone know the specs on the Bilsteins??? did they come standard on some cars by any chance??? Cheers
  2. Is it recommended to use any kind of a special oil filter for the engine break in process. I ve been recommended to use the Power Enterprise 'Black' Oil filter for the break in procedure and the Power Enterprise 'White' Oil filter thereafter. Any suggestions would be great Cheers
  3. That was exactly what I was intending on doing. What are you specs mate???
  4. I got the Autronic because I didnt specifically intend to use it for the Supra, was going to be a project on another engine but canned that plan so I m now planning on using it on the 2JZGTE. The Autronic SM4 coupled with the 500R CDI unit is supposed to be one of the most reliable and on par with Motec's.
  5. I m pretty much going in for a brand new engine into my TT with a T61 single setup. I m going the standalone route with an Autronic SM4 ECU and CDI unit. My question is, do I get the tuner to initiate the tuning process right from the breakin stage or should I put the stock ECU in for a break in and run off boost for a couple of hundred mile first??? My setup would be: Brand new blueprinted OEM shortblock, new stock head with entire new OEM valvetrain, HKS 264 In/Ex cams, PHR single valve springs and retainers Also, is there anywhere I can get proper engine breakin instructions? Cheers adi
  6. I did it because when I used to take my car to the track have a hard run there would be some fuel spillage from the cap onto the body. Did it and its stopped since
  7. Anyone know where I might be able to get hold of a 60mm 3 gauge pillar pod??? Cheers adi
  8. Just a question. i m going in for a brand new GTE head, is it necessary to replace the valve lifters or can the old ones from the old head be used again??? Cheers
  9. I m going to be getting a new shortblock for my supra and along with that I m going in for a new PHR oil pump, new coil packs etc. Now the thing is, I ve just got a new water pump running in my current engine about 3000miles ago. Can I just re use the pump on the new shortblock or should I ideally get a new water pump too? Thanks Adi
  10. Thanks a lot everyone! Since my car is originally an NA-TT transplant I m still using the NA rad and now going to be upgrading to the TT rad and shroud. I ve come to realise that there is this big hole for the electric fan. Can I just fit a spal 7.5inch fan instead of the stock one and set it to run constantly??? Its just that the spal works out to be about a quarterof the price of the OEM unit. Cheers
  11. I ve been told by a vendor from the US that it is highly adviseable to change the stock timing belt tensioner bracket to the PHR timing belt tensioner bracket as the stock ones have been know to fail on many occasions??? Can anyone confirm whether this is true? Also, are there any advantages of using the TRD engine mounts over the stock when running a single turbo setup (T61) Thanks Adi
  12. Does the TT supra 6spd (prefacelift) have an electric cooling fan along with the viscous fan??? I was just installin my new fan shroud and noticed a 6 inch hole which looks as though an additional fan is supposed to fit in.
  13. I ve got a friend who wants to buy a used Emanage Ultimate and he s asked me to find out about which model chip it uses. His serial number is 02986, is that a Version D??? Thanks
  14. Hi Chris, thanks. Would you by any chance have some pictures of installations where the turbo is supported in the way you mentioned??? Thanks Adi
  15. I ve installed a custom T61 single turbo setup on my supra using an XSpower manifold. I ve been running it for a couple of weeks now with no problem but have just taken it off to add support braces. Is it acceptable to weld a support bracket on the manifold which has been used and been through several heat cycles??? and any suggestions on where I could weld the support braces would be great. Thanks in advance Adi
  16. Anyone know where the article on 'Wiring loom refurbishment/ECU connector refurbishment' is? thought it was on Mkiv.com but couldnt find it...
  17. I had the same issue after my TT swap. turned out that it was bad valve cover seals. The engine oil used to drip from the back side of the valve cover and every morning I would find oil on the floor near the rear of the engine. Try replacing your valve cover seals, if not then it should be rear main seals.
  18. ya nic, got that installed.
  19. Thanks mate! can you not pull fuel on the I/J map at closed loop?
  20. My car is a T61 single turbo, running 650cc Power Enterprise injectors. My problem is that a lot of times my car just doesnt start for ages, it gets too rich. My global injector scaling on the EMU is set to compensate for the 650cc and 0.9 lag time. Do I have to pull out fuel in the idle range??? What lag times are people with this PE injector running??? Cheers adi
  21. Dick, my flexi section is on the downpipe itself, couple of inches after the wideband and O2 bungs. Would be great if you could send me some pics of your manifold with the additional support braces, got to beef up mine before it cracks. Cheers
  22. Hi mate, on my downpipe I m using a 6 inch (150mm) flex pipe section and it seems to be holding up fine so far.
  23. Like the title says. I m looking for a wiring loom in good condition and a stock ECU (Prefacelift 6spd TT). Cheers
