  1. As the title says, I need to make my spare engine useable so I need all the stock engine sensors; knock, cam angle sensor, crank sensor, oil sensor, water temp sensors, etc. etc. I also need the upper and lower intake manifold Thanks Adi
  2. I m going to be building a spare engine I have lying around for a project, however I dont have any sensors on it. Does anyone know where I can get a hold of all the stock engine sensors (used)??? Any help would be great Cheers Adi
  3. My Supra is setup with a T61 turbo and 650cc Power Enterprises injectors to fuel them. The engine is mostly stock except that I ve got HKS 264 In/Ex cams installed. However, my tuner says that he doubts that 650cc injectors would suffice for my setup. Do I need to go for larger injectors? Could I get some opinions on this please?

    Nic

Ok I havent been on the forum for ages now but all I know is that I ve paid Nic some money for some parts and I havent heard from him in months. Anyone know whats going on? please update me
  5. I ve just completed 1 k miles on my brand new shortblock. THe only aftermarket parts the engine has are HKS cams and ARP head studs. My question is do I need to re-torque the head bolts as I havent re-torqued since assembly??? thanks adi
  6. Any one with some more suggestions please???
  7. Oh Just to add, I ve ordered a set of HKS Hipermax 3 coilovers, would installing the coilovers stop the front wheels from rubbing???
  8. I ve just got these wheels and the size is: 11x18 Rear (295/30/18) 9.5x18 Front (265/35/18) These wheels were supposed to be a Toyota Supra fit and the tyre size was recommended by the manufacturer of the wheels. The rear rubs the fender lip a little but I am going to have the fender lip rolled so that should be fine. However the front wheels seem to be rubbing the plastic inner covers when going over a bump or medium fast cornering. Is there anything I can do about the fronts??? Any advice would be great, Cheers adi
  9. Under load as in WOT??? because I have been running the car for a while now, below 4k RPM though.
  10. No i havent yet tried pulling the hose off. But the top radiator hose was very hot when i held it so I assumed that water would have had to be circulating for it to get hot. Should I ll try pulling the hose now
  11. Just checked today, water pump is working and there is circulation. What could be the issue here???
  12. its a brand new pump and a new TRD thermostat
  13. I ve just put my new engine into the supra and everything seemed to work fine except the water temperature gauge doesnt seem to work at all (stays at the bottom). However, to re-check we pulled out the sensor and tested it outside in warm water and the sensor and gauge seemed to work. So it doest work in the car, What could be the issue here??? Also, I ve blocked the following water lines: Stock turbo water cooling (got a T61 now) Water cooling line for stock oil cooler (since I have removed the stock cooler for an aftermarket) Heater matrix water lines are blocked as I live in 33 deg C most of the year. Is this an issue??? Thanks adi
  14. Could someone please tell me whether the HKS 264 In/Ex combo are interference or non-interference on the 2JZGTE???
  15. I ve come across threads such as this where people seem to get the best power on HKS cams at stock position.
  16. Oh ok. so no adjustments made to timing then?
  17. I m going in for a set of HKS 264 In/Ex cams. Is it a necessity to install adjustable cam gears or should the stock ones be ok. I suppose you cant adjust timing with the stock one but does it run fine???
  18. My engine builder did that, didnt come out. I m thinking of just ordering in a new set of retainers anyways just in case, as my builder is not too keen on the locks sticking out like that as for peace of mind I may go with the stock retainers. What are the advantages of using a titanium retainer anyways? other than weight, which is neglidgible?
  19. Just a question regarding valve lifters. I m am assembling a new engine for my car and was wondering if the valve lifters are a critical part to change or whether I can just use the old ones from my 110k kilometer engine??? Cheers
  20. While fitting the PHR single valve springs with titanium retainers, the valve locks just dont seem to sit anywhere near as flush as they do on the stock retainers. I ve emailed PHR about this and they say that its OK, however, my engine builder is extremely hesitant saying that this just doest look right. I m not sure what to do now, if its ok to use stock retainers with these spring then I may do that. Anyone have any experience like this???
  21. Valves have been lapped. HKS cams in and checked valve clearance, I need to order in some new shims now
  22. Forgot to add ARP head studs to the list. But they are going in!
  23. the head after cleaning up all the leftover metal.
  24. I m leaving the brakes & suspension till the last. I need to still choose a set of coilovers and I m waiting for my iForged Daytonas As soon as I opened the head I noticed that there was casting flash in areas of the head and some machining burr in and around the combustion chamber area. I m not sure if this is the way all engine components are supplied but certainly not too impressed with the finish
