yeah was also thinking of a wheel bearing...so that is how they reverse then ? just thought it should freewheel..tyres are just the standard 15" wheels (185),checked the pressure and they are ok so i dont know then.

I think the rear diffs going on my freelander...driving along say 30+ mph start getting a loudish humming noise from the rear..also when reversing of the drive if you have it on full lock or near it comes to a dead stop..no freewheeling at all...can anyone shed some light on this for me ??
