Hmmm how about a car that's 20 years old with 150,000 miles on the clock, could that be classified as 'Low Mileage'? as the average mileage for a car of that age should be well over the 200,000 miles mark Nice car BTW and good luck with the sale.

The drirver may have gone tits up, go to your device manager, locate the audio device/drive, right click and choose uninstall, if you are asked if you want to delete the associated driver then choose no at this stage. Once the driver is uninstalled, select your machine name (which is at the top of the list in device manager) then select 'Scan for hardware changes', at this stage it should recognise the audio device and the proceed to install the driver.

Not according to BMW in the States, I don't see what the same should not apply here.

I wouldn't be too bothered if you found that; As long as the car is stock BMW will replace the entire floor pan IIRC.
